@wyrdotter The solution I always recommend for this is to have the characters hook up at the very end of the series (maybe even the last episode). That way there is no worry about the "will they or won't they" dynamic going away. I don't really care if I get to see them together (I can use my imagination and it's what fanfic is for) I just want them to make it official.
Final Episode: "I'm in love with you, I want to be with you" ---end scene, that's a wrap. Great way to end the series.
