  • Philosoraptors (Jurassic Park)

  • Troodon had FEATHERS! Animalplanet!

  • lol that baby hadrosaur got pwned

  • Forgive me if I have insulated you by calling your theory idiotic

  • Its looks like chuck norris'es hamster

  • I believe that many of what paleantologists are identifying as different species of dinosaur predators are actually the same species in different stages of maturity. This looks very much like a Velociraptor. They think that young Tyrannosaurs had feathers and narrower skulls than the adults. That kind of makes sense because evolution must have been really speeding along back then with everything being as big and lush as it was.

  • @49kasey

Um, here's a way more important question: Are you sure that you're not Gregory S. Paul?

  • @Utahraptor2003 Aww... that's flattering!

  • @49kasey

Actually, the reason as to why I even said that, in the first place, was because Gregory S. Paul proposed an idiotic theory, back in 1988, that all deinonychosaurs (raptors) were simply different growth stages of Velociraptor. And Troodon was one of the several raptor genera that he had lumped. That's why, for a second there, I thought that you were actually Gregory S. Paul, in disguise! :D!

  • @49kasey i highly doubt you idiotic theory because we have found skeletons of young Utah raptor and troodon hathlings plustroodon was one of the first dinosaurs on the planet

  • @powerup3005 People who use the internet to insult and ridicule others are cowardly, ignorant little children.

  • @powerup3005 sir troodon was one of the last, your just as much as an idiot as the person you are mocking

  • @49kasey who knows.... this was the case with many bone head dinosaurs

  • They kill with feet.

  • actually some of this troodon still exist

    nowadays..we cal it,trolldon

  • t.rex vs troodon : i think troodon would run away it would be smart enough to velociraptor wouldnt run away it would try attacking its smart but not smart enough

  • No feathers? FAIL!

  • that was a epic bite on the neck

  • The Troodon roars at 0:22

  • They were so intelligent that they had mind control.

That's how two of them could take down a bigger prey.

  • Two Troodons taking down a young Hadrosaur is about as realistic as two dogs taking down an elephant.

  • @RickRaptor105

Yeah I'm no dinosaur expert but even when I saw that I thought "What??

  • @RickRaptor105

Actually, it's about as realistic as two wolves taking down a moose.

  • They seemed to have it mixed up with Velociraptor or one of the other members of the Dromeosauridae family, in regards to it being depicted taking down prey such as young Hadrosaurs.

Troodon was more likely to hunt smaller prey such as small mammals.

  • @mrbepo maybe they were scavengeres

  • Troodons didn't hunt Hadrosaurs ever!

  • how do u know are you a dinosaur expert or something

  • Let me paraphrase that: Troodons didn't hunt adult Hadrosaurs ever!

It doesn't take a genius to figure that a 1 meter predator couldn't take down a 9 meter multi ton herbivore.

  • Troodon was 3 meters long. Get your facts straight!

  • @Utahraptor2003

    And that changes what exactly?

  • It changes the whole battle. A pack of about 4 or 5 10-foot long Troodons could easily take on an adult hadrosaur.

  • @Utahraptor2003

What? Troodons could barely grow up to 7 feet long. They were specialized to hunt smaller prey. Do you know how massive Hadrosaurus was or how delicate Troodons were? Have you ever seen a pack of 5 foxes hunt down a grown elk?

  • Troodon had a sickle-shaped toe claw on each foot. How was it specialized to hunt smaller prey?

  • @Utahraptor2003

Because it was a small, fast and lightly built animal with good eyesight. It's teeth seemed to indicate it was more of an omnivore, rather than a Velociraptor like carnivore. So when it did hunt, it hunted small prey animals.

  • How is it an omnivore?

  • @Utahraptor2003

Uh... I have no comment on that. Do you know why the animal was called Troodon in the first place?

  • Yes. It's name means "Wounding Tooth". That's why it was probably a predator.

  • @Utahraptor2003

No, no it doesn't. If you actually took some time to look at the shape of the teeth, and the jaw you would see that it implies that the animal was an more of an omnivore, rather than leading a fully active predatory lifestyle. The famous claw, on the foot, could also be very handful while climbing trees, and not just hunting prey.

  • @Popovicist

First of all, Troodon was far too big to climb trees. Second of all, the teeth are sharp and have serrations on them like a steak knife that helps them slice through flesh. The retractable, sickle-shaped toe claw was used to climb larger prey, as it slashed with its hand claws and teeth. It's very clear that Troodon was a predator, easily capable of taking down prey many times larger than itself by hunting in packs.

  • @Popovicist climbing prey, maybe. And bite them on the neck.

  • @Fullmetalminos

That would be pretty risky move for an animal of it's stature. After all, there were a lot more smaller and easly killable prey around.

  • @Popovicist in fact,as shown in the video, they could have attacked baby dinosaurs.Maybe only the Utharaptor was able to kill in that way a big prey.

  • @Popovicist

Actually, that wasn't an adult hadrosaur. The narrator said it was a young hadrosaur

  • @Popovicist How do you know? No one knows before we see it.

  • Aint that a velociraptor?

  • On the whole a cute dinosaur !

  • t-rex , imma let you eat but troodan was one of the most intelligent dinosaur of all time

  • how come small dino are the one who is smart.

  • it is because they have a large brain in their size.

  • yeah

    brawns no brains

    just like this days

  • Yea, they hare large brain cavities, so they are thought to be smarter then larger dinosaurs, because larger ones, have a smaller brain cavity.

  • Did you guys hear that scientists found some dino DNA and want to try to clone it(like the sheep...dolly was it?)? Jurassic Park much anyone?

  • thats cool

  • Nah you just got it from jurassic park movie. DNA would need to be fresh, not millions of years dead.

  • Seriously...it was on the news...its the same with like woolly mammoths, they are using the ones they have found frozen in ice and cloning them with elephants.

  • If it was on the news, it was either a lie or an exageration, but I will check up on it. If it was Fox news then you know it was a lie.

  • I think it was on global...your probably right though....since they said they want to "try"...does not mean they are even going to come close I suppose. Its pretty messed up that they would want to though.

  • hey did you know thay fiound a real dino with a REAL FOSSALIZED HEART...........I AM NOT LYING

  • i call dibs for pet

lol if you could tame one of those, that would be pretty kickass

  • velociraptor was also around 3 feet tall and has been proven to have feathers

  • 0:20-0:25 AwesumE!!

  • Lol, if It jumps on me, and I have a chainsaw, the first thing I would do it aim for that claw....

  • just like raptor... but a little smal... =D

  • zomg

  • Wow those things are small as hell.

  • haha that would be a cool pet :D

  • how do they know that their smart?

  • DNA says everything...From the size of your brain..to the size of your balls...

  • maybe their skull had a large brain chamber

  • Speculation.

  • this should've been used in the place of velicoraptor in jurassic park

  • that looked like it was created from spore lol

  • cooool =D

  • i imagen one of does troodon playing PS3. XD they said they were one of the most smartest dinasours to live.

  • that tiny thing could take down an elaphant

  • cool

  • o.o
