@Alix7861 The quality is easily on par if not better (and more adjustable/tweakable, with Rockbox) than much more expensive MP3 players, such as an iPod touch. Its biggest weakness is in its lack of raw power (small device), although you won't need to worry about this for standard consumer-level headphones.
@Alix7861 do you or him know how to fix the mp3 when its broken as in the screen freezez on tha opening page and never comes on all tha way whats up widd that??
do the songs you put on the microSD card appear on the same list on the player or are the split? (for example: my creative player do not put the songs, i put on the micro SD card together with the songs i put on the internal memory.. which is quite anoying)
Great but can't read screen in brite sun! Otherwise durable, easy2use, small, clip doesn't drag down or fall off like bigger MP3s. Can't beat exp slot, none avail 4 low $ ($30-4gb Best Buy 12/21/11). Use drag/drop 2 load or free library SW & copy Reg/MP3 CDs 2 it. Trying new same size 4gb ClipZIP-$40, hope 1.1" color screen better but no sun yet! I use 4 audio books. Wish battery better-8-10 hrs not 15 listed. LUV Sleep mode timer/auto off. Use iLuv Bean earbuds $6 w/vol contrl sound OK 2 me.
Actually, one more question now that I read the specs. Does it come with a microSD already? or the default memory is internal? If so, I could just get a cheapo microSD card and use it for data only, while the internal memory is for music? :D Thanks !!
@PortaleMedia It comes with just internal memory, so you can just grab an SDHC card for plenty more space. You can put data and/or music on both the internal and external, and in a computer it will show up as two separate drives (provided you set the USB transfer mode to MSC).
I like my ipod touch for everything except music, I hate itunes organization especially adding songs to the library, the automatic mode never works so i need a drag and drop mp3 player
@Disneyfan5150 A lot of bad reviews? o__o That's really strange, among audiophiles this is one of the most acclaimed MP3 players for having an incredible value and highly acceptable sound quality for what it is (a cheap MP3 player).
@gorillaMaticIAP Battery life is around 12 hours for me with Rockbox, minor EQ, and ~320 kbps MP3, but is dependent on a lot of factors (firmware, format of music, volume, etc.). You can get some readings here: rockbox.org/wiki/SansaRuntime.
@hkmix Thanks for your quick response. One more think to ask.
I've been doing some police work on this product, and to be honest; I'm not exactly excited about the reviews it has gotten. A lot of buyers complain about the product becoming defective/unusable after a short time of ownership. Do you still use yours? And if so, are there any problems that you have run into with this mp3 player that make you regret buying it?
@gorillaMaticIAP It's a fine player and I've had no problems with it. Keep in mind that for every person that complains about a problem on the net there's probably many more who doesn't have a problem (and thus won't post about their issues). The Clip+ is one of the best bang/buck deals and you shouldn't pass it up since a 4GB model is under $50 and they're expandable. I do still use mine (although I have a proper line-out and amp for my iPod Touch now so I'm using that more); no regrets here.
@flashxm1 On the contrary, because of the tiny size of the device, it's almost never fallen (headphone cable will break any fall) and stays snug in my pockets, so it's actually fairly clean. Plastic is soft on the front, but proper care will prevent scratches.
it work omg thank u so much i this is my life music is my life thank u so much for ur help ur awsome this is the first time it has done that actually second but i stil love this thing thank u you made my daay :)
i need help i was playing my music today and it randomly shut off and then it trun on and now it just says good bye i need help please how do i fix it i think its frozen
@bratastiful Are you sure it's not just out of batteries? If you charge it and it still isn't fixed, make a post here: forums.sandisk. com/t5/Clip-Clip/bd-p/clipplusclip and ask someone for help.
@FallenAngel2737 It's important to tag the song properly. Download MP3Tag and use id3v2.3 UTF-16 and tag the appropriate songs; it'll show up correctly afterwards.
i'm not computer saavy, can someone please tell me how i can put music on this thing. it wants to sync to my widows media player but I don't even use the Media Player so I'm not used to navigating within that program. My PhillipsGoGearMix was like a jump drive that I just had to plug into USB port, click on MyMusic and send the file to the E:Drive -there is no E:Drive w/ the Sansa so I'm lost. The directions don't help. Can anyone simplify it for me please?
@V3RM1LI0N With original firmware, if you play just mid-bitrate MP3 files (192kbps-256kbps) it will last just under 15 hours. Higher bitrate MP3 files will drain the batteries faster (you'll see this fall to maybe 12 hours), and FLAC files just eat up the batteries. If you want to go lossless, go with Rockbox. Otherwise, there are rumours that OF gives better sound quality.
@therichardchannel It's one of the mass-produced versions, as far as I know, if you don't see it in your local electronics shop it's probably just a bit behind on stock. (This colour isn't available for 8GB, btw)
@Tzukumi yeah, i chose the white one. then it stopped connecting to my computer. i was gonna give it to my nephew, but i lost it. I replaced it with the black one (cuz it was cheaper than the white on Amazon)-and I just didn't like lookin at it, ridiculous I know. But at any rate, I gave the black one to my newphew and ordered another white one for myself. Hopefully I'll keep up with it, cuz i really like it.
lolol ok on a serious note. What's the point anyways? What's the difference between fast and slow scroll speed. Do a review on it instead of a scroll speed test lol.
@FestenGTA effing citron. There are a ton of reviews on the Clip+ already, notably the one posted by AnythingButiPod using account "enzoten". Few showed its scroll speed, which is something a lot of people ask about (since it's only got 3 lines of display and no alphabet scrolling). With Rockbox it can be set faster, but this shows the speed of the OF.
Hey, Can you please tell me how is the sound quality of this mp3 player?
