he isnt supporting them. letterman is part of the writer's guild. yes the AMPTP's response in the video was fake but the writer's asking for 2.5 pennies is not. the AMPTP won't give them 2.5 pennies for every 1 dollar. the cutting the penny in half thing wasn't real..but the AMPTP really won't give them 2.5 pennies for every 1 dollar. they wrote this to get the message out but they did it in a very sarcastic and they are mocking the AMPTP for being so greedy and not giving the writers 2.5 cents
