Just listened to ITS EASY FOR YOU. Elvis always showed his pain thru his music and his eyes. I have always been able somehow to understand where he was living at in his life when I looked into his eyes . SAD at times and at times you could see the anger flash from them. But as far as everything else. FANtastic song. Everytime I hear Elvis do this song it really touchs my heart. He sang his heart. The song had to be right for him. If it wasen't he knew it by the lyrics He wanted the band and the singers to have fun and enjoy the show but he expected them to never be at ease. My one belief is in GOD and that he will re-unite me with my Mom when I too pass. I know Elvis is already there. I will pray for your grief and pain to lessen as I know it will never truly pass. What a fantastic 1976 song from the King. Tim Rice once said on TV that he was so proud when Elvis sang this song. Col Parker didn't allow many songs from outside writers to get through to Elvis.

This song, speaks Clearly, what was going through Elvis's head fits him so well...the words are like "My Way"...an so, so, many others...he began to do more an more tearful ballads...why? Because his heart was hurting...and all he knew was to sing about the "Pain"..., so sad, Elvis could have been helped, if only Elvis himself would have let others around him to help him..

I agree that it is unbelievable that such a great song by Elvis is not widely known, even one of his number ones. I had a copy of Moody Blue, but recently heard this on a Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice collection and now can't stop playing it. I am not the biggest Elvis fan but the stuff I own I love and this is just fantastic as is the whole of Moody Blue
Great performance from Elvis and effectively simple yet poignant lyrics by Sir Tim Rice. Why is this track not better known?!! FANtastic song. Everytime I hear Elvis do this song it really touchs my heart. He sang his heart. The song had to be right for him. If it wasen't he knew it by the lyrics He wanted the band and the singers to have fun and enjoy the show but he expected them to never be at ease. They had to be ready at a moments notice at times he would just change a song midstream and they had to be ready. This is one of the things that made him such a great man. Very true, I am 48 and been an Elvis fan since about 1970 and by listening to the Elvis, thinking of what we lost...brings tears to my eyes. Just like thinking of my mother brings tears and tears to my eyes. Elvis died on my mothers birthday. So that day is a double dose.

I don't cry much and to be honest it takes 2 things to bring me to tears.When I thinlk of my Mom and her death and Elvis' death and the way he can bring my emotions to the surface.. @22Jeanie In the space of 6 months, I lost a good neighbor of 21 years, 2 Aunt's, 1 Uncle and the worst of all, my Mom! I know it may not relate to the death of your husband, but life can be cruel. My one belief is in GOD and that he will re-unite me with my Mom when I too pass. I know Elvis is already there. I will pray for your grief and pain to lessen as I know it will never truly pass. What a fantastic 1976 song from the King. Tim Rice once said on TV that he was so proud when Elvis sang this song. Col Parker didn't allow many songs from outside writers to get through to Elvis.

This composition was written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber of Broadway fame. It was written specifically for Elvis, based on his divorce. Although Elvis did not commission this song it was - of all things - a free lance piece that was actually sent to Elvis in the mail. This is all true!
Odd that these guys, best known for shows like "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Cats", "Evita" and more, would be thinking of Elvis Presley's personal life, but we should all be glad they did.

ELVIS was certainly CHOSEN. If we think about what and how many other doors were opened to country to the blues to rock and roll but no matter who came along the charm and the LOVE ELVIS GAVE would never be outdone. he gave so so much to others who didn't even deserve it. He was USED AND ABUSED by people he thought Loved him. You know who really LOVES ELVIS. WE DO those of us who keep him alive for all these years we have kept him singing so I guess we are giving back a PINCH of what he gave.

This song, speaks Clearly, what was going through Elvis's head fits him so well...the words are like "My Way"...an so, so, many others...he began to do more an more tearful ballads...why? Because his heart was hurting...and all he knew was to sing about the "Pain"..., so sad, Elvis could have been helped, if only Elvis himself would have let others around him to help him..

I agree that it is unbelievable that such a great song by Elvis is not widely known, even one of his number ones. I had a copy of Moody Blue, but recently heard this on a Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice collection and now can't stop playing it. I am not the biggest Elvis fan but the stuff I own I love and this is just fantastic as is the whole of Moody Blue
