Eastern European culture is not all that 'compatible with ours at all.

The vast majority of Poles are Roman Catholic and pretty Orthodox, whilst the UK moved away from any sort of religious fanaticism an awfully long time ago.

The majority of Indians immigrated here half a century ago, it's not a new issue. Also this is completely different to the Indian situation back then because India was part of the British Empire and Poland was not.

Indians are more than welcome to the UK.

They are generally well-behaved, and have integrated well into British society since they came here over half a century ago.

Second and third generation Asians in general achieve more college pass rates than our own white British children do.

Plus, there are higher incidences of Asians pursuing further education (ie, diplomas) than almost any other minority group here, and that includes almost every East European nation thus so far.

So Indians are obviously a dedicated lot to boot.
