@kermicheo hear hear!! i was sat at the kitchen table when i theorised that" the current music charts are like cess pits. All the shit floats to the top"
I remember seeing Pink Floyd at Foxboro Stadium in 1994 and was a phenomenal show. Greatest show I've been to and also, I didn't take any drugs at all (I don't smoke nor drink nor do drugs). David Gilmour was funny with his comment. Sad they didn't get to make another album after The Division Bell as DG and his wife had more kids after this 1995 interview which in effect put a kabosh on the band's future.
@destroyerr666 ah, but you can have too much, like my dad did. eh was at the pulse concert, and got so stoned before the gig that he didn't actually see it. he said that what he heard with his head slumped between his knees was unreal, and shall never be forgotten, but he missed the entire light show!!!!!
JAJAA me encanto cuando gilmour dice "people say we should get out of the way and let the young kids do the job but I say screw that they would have to be better than us for that" que se traduce a por mas buenos que sean los de ahora deberan superarnos asique no jodan
03 May 1994 Bobby Dodd Field at Grant Stadium. GA Tech, Atlanta, GA absolutely the best concert i ever saw with the effects, music and the fact that it was rainy foggy. :)
I just listen what I want to.I hate grunge and punk and is my right. You take care your life, retard.New "stuff" is a different name to bad music.Musician whithout talent and technic.Fuck idiot.
@dreamdeceiver You know that simpler forms of music are actually really good.
No, really. I adore the Floyd and Van der Graaf Generator and I still enjoy Nirvana and the Clash. Just because it has no "technical aspects" doesn't mean it's terrible altogether.
In fact, some technical talented musicians can't make convincing songs (i.e. John Petrucci).
I was 13th row n Cleveland 4 the Pulse concert in 94. I almost died, Ive never been so happy. I still have 2 cushions they gave to floor seats. I agree with the general band lists but lets give Skinny Puppy props as a GR8 Canadian band. Even tho they r not overly popular they helped invent a genre & worked HARD to get their sound from archaic synths & effects in 80s. cEvin Key jumps from keyboard, guitar, drums & drum machine multiple times in some songs. Thanks 4 post, Pink Floyd=the shizzy.
The US of A hasn't had a decent band since the grunge explosion. Then again, England has had crap since 1981. Pink Floyd, Sabbath (whom became Anglo-American for awhile in the 1980s), Zeppelin, Queen, Genesis were the best 1970s bands from the UK. Canada produced two great bands Rush and Triumph.
Not just are they the best band ever to exists... They are down to Earth guys who are modest and are not interested in attention grabbing - they let the music do the talking... and it fucking yells! Great guys all round...!
As an American, I get extremely irritated when people take the "blame America" approach to issues. However, when it comes to the crummy music of youth, I say "Blame America!" The state of our music industry is truly appaling and is being over run by a bunch of no talent guttersnipes.
AMEN! Pink Floyd are the greatest band EVER to come from Cambridge, England. From Birmingham, it was Zeppelin. Surrey, it was Genesis. Liverpool, The Beatles. London, I'd say The Who, The Rolling Stones and Iron Maiden. Best American bands/artists were The Eagles, The Doors, Boston, The Ramones, Ted Nugent. Best Canadian bands were Rush and Triumph.
They were just doing an approximation. They wouldn't really announce a live album for a studio album before the studio album was released. It's just wrong.

Grunge and punk rock are awful. The progressive rock was the last creativity manifestation in rock. After that, all is over.Grunge is a real crap.
