  • Tiger of Muslims, "Tipu Sultan"

  • "Tippu sultan wasn't a mugal" understand stand this please. W e are not rajputs, we are not arabs we are all Muslims. Stand up my brothers we are here for each other regardless of what country we are from.

  • Nice documentry.... Tipu was indeed a Brave soldier against the British minus the defeat against Pazashi Raja......

  • and once again they have completely ignored the part played by Marathas against the Mughals and the British...fuckers act as if we didnt even exist

  • @Prometheus61086 Because you were historically irrelavent, the biggest threat they faced was bar Far Tipu Sultan, there is no comparison between the convetional Great Power Tipu Sultan was, as compared to lightly armed Gorilla's the MAratah's were. Of course there was the Pasthuns under Mohamd Dost khan, but then again the Pasthuns were NEVER defeated by the British.

  • @akingkhan99 IRRELEVANT !...u nuts ?The marathas held 3/4 of the frikkin subcontinent at one time...if they hadnt lost the Battle of Panipat, they wouldve gone on to capture Kandahar as was Raghoba's plan...the entire map of India wouldve changed..and marathas may have started out as "lightly armed guerillas" but went on to have a full scale cavalry and artillery.Shivaji as good as gave birth to the Medieval Indian Navy...not to mention how Marathas defeated the British in the 1st panipat battle

  • @akingkhan99 oh..so a european navy considered a naval superpower being defeated by locals isnt "historically relevent" ?...and wtf do u mean india was "superpower" under islamic rule...what utter nonsense...and india was never totally under islamic rule, no matter what those drunkards at JNU say...the islamic rulers only looted the existing wealth, india had been a superpower in decline long before the islamic invaders came, ancient indians had trade with europe, egypt and all the old empires.

  • @Prometheus61086 The territory referred to as India consisted of a bunch of petty kingdoms until the Mughuls came.

  • Francis Scott Keys was not a soldier, he was a lawyer who was on one of the British ships at the seige of Fort McHenry as the result of an attempted prisoner exchange deal. But those rockets didn't work :D

  • our mother land was stolen by these creatures they call brits....we should fuck up brittain now

  • @jimbob202019 and they said he was indian so why are you moaning by not saying he is islam lol they are talking about his birth place along with his fathers birth place IN INDIAAA... idiot

  • They stole the Idea of missile from us and now they look down upon us..

  • Muslims only war against Briti gov in INDIA If not we all stil under they ?????????

  • tiger of mysore

  • excellent video which makes us proud. But in the graphics tippus place is misspelled. It has to be SRIRANGAPATNA. Just near to my native. :)

  • The Moghuls were only knocked back because of them engaging in unlawful acts such as taking drugs, womanising and generally moving away from Islam

  • Tipu sultan brought rockets in front of the world!!!!!!! from ther did British copied the techno and developed their rockets!!!1

  • Tipu Sultan was defetaed by his own people, Traitors! unfortunately all throughout the muslim world the infestation of traitors was rampant and many Empires, and great leaders and Generals were martyred. Even M.A Jinnah said when Pakistan was created "I do not fear the enemy as fearing the enemy is idiocy i fear the mir jafar and mir sadiq* in our midst" But even with that Pakistan is run by the traitors!

*Two infamous traitors who sold out the muslims to the enemy!

  • @WiseAli2 look into the history of these traitors, to which sect of Islam does them belong, for them its their duty to destroy a particular sect of Islam(sunni), you will find many references in history, these sect cannot be trusted and we should never have them in any form near to us.

  • @peaceingraves Im not talking about any such sects, shia's and sunni's can come together even muslims and non muslims as they have done in the past, history tells us this, its not about any sectarian divide its about peoplel in our midst who sell out to the enemy for GREED! either for money, positions of power or any other status and gamble with the blood of many for their selfish gains. These are the people that are dangerous and cannot be trusted and we should work towards eradicating them!!

  • tipo lost cause of betryed by his own commander in chief name was MIR SADIQ who was a shia muslim. he provide all information to britishers to have crown of mysoor after their victory.

  • According to this video, the British domination of India was "complete" after they defeated Tipu Sultan in the late 18th century, but that is false. The British had not yet conquered the Punjab. That happened much later in 1846 after they defeated the Sikhs in the 1st Anglo-Sikh war.

  • The first rockets used in battle which had arrows and explosives were used 500 years before this battle. What makes this battle significant to rocket tech?

  • @OxAO everything that happens to the west becomes significant when they encounter something new! fighting tipu was the first time british encountered rockets! thats why they blindly think that the moghuls and tipu are so great! they make up their own verions of Indian History and many INdians today just blindly follow that!

  • @tigersoup

Maybe your right but it doesn't answer a lot of questions.

The Mongols picked up the idea from the Chinese. But the Mongols and Ottoman used their rockets against the west a few times before this battle and there were many experiments made before the British fight in India.

I think the main reason was the improvement in the rocket when the Indian's used metal which gave better range and effectiveness on impact.

  • @OxAO The Tipu's rockets were the first rockets which used metal chambers. The iron tube acted as a combustion chamber and contained well packed black powder propellant. A rocket carrying about one pound of powder could travel almost 1,000 yards. In contrast, rockets in Europe, not being iron cased, could not take large chamber pressures and as a consequence, were not capable of reaching distances anywhere near as great. Wiki:Tipu_Sultan and read :Military use of rockets.

  • @OxAO Also Tipu sultan and his father Hyder Ali are regarded as pioneers in the use of solid fuel rocket technology or missiles for military use.A military tactic they developed was the use of mass attacks with rocket brigades on infantry formations. The Rocket Corps ultimately reached a strength of about 5000 in Tipu Sultan's army. The experiences eventually led the Royal Woolwich Arsenal to start a military rocket research and development program in 1801, based on the Mysorean technology.

  • also wiki : Congreve_rockets

  • 1)The dates you depicted in your last dispatch some extent correct; as his last was Eton education completed and become ensign in East India Company. According Tipu Sultan’s Archive record made by his “Diwan” = Chancellor “there were rout every direction of our enemy; terror caused by our “Aatish –e-Barud” mean Rockets many of local enemy soldiers we managed to capture many of them alive including English”

  • 1b)One account depict least 200+ head counted local Spy and high ranking officer’ executed on the spot by the French adviser who happened to a translator to Tipu Sultan. (cont..2)

  • 2)This account or narration is second battle of Seringapatam and first battle for Athur W. He spared only due to his young age and good manner in fact Tipu beginning to like him hence he made concession to confine within the boundaries of Castle; not behind the Bars as other prisoner. (cont..2b)

  • 2b)He took advantage of this facility and mapped out inner layout of palace accurately including secret exit passage from Castle which subsequently helped him second time round. After victory of Seringapatam he also gave concession to son’s (two) of Tipu Sultan; dispatching them to England for re-education and upbringing.

  • 3)Unfortunately Tipu Sultan did not made alive to regret his mistake perhaps he realised and fought till his death. This was the third battle for East India Co fighting against old foe Tipu Sultan. This lesson for British faced again in 1857 after capture of Bahadushah Zaffer son which they did not considered to re-educate them instead banged in Rangoon prison. My forefather good left deal of mark on Indian history; briefly you may find in my profile.

  • Thats Indian tech for you

  • ive heard tht these rockets were never fired in the last battle of Tippoo as the armory containing these rockets was flooded with water, hence rendering them incapable. i need some research in tht

  • cooooolll 0__O

  • great islam

  • The ancient Indian technology...

  • Tipu the hero of Islam, last candle of freedom.

  • The one place in India that was never really conquered till the Europeans came was Kerala....go malus

  • Sher ki ek din ki zindagi, gedar ki 100 saal ki zindagi se behtar hai.

  • This is Muslim history, these kind of people, brave and good defenders.

  • a great muslim worrior pathans also helped him in war....

  • ALLAH HU AKBAR !!!!! :D LOL..

  • tipu annhilated the british in 1780 at the battle of polliler and in 1782 in the mysore wars

  • British treachery fully paid off in the form of; when Duke of Wellington (Great great grandfather of Churchill) was captured, imprisoned by Tipu Sultan in his palace underground, at first war 1780 against Tipu Sultan. He managed to hatch the treachery and mapped the complete palace plan, and on same accord he managed to escape from the prison to fight another war against Tipu Sultan. Later on same Duke of Wellington fought Battler of Trafalgar against Napoleon, strategy devised by Tipu Sultan.

  • @imrank340 There are a few points I would like to make about your comment, leaving aside the "British treachery" part of it. Firstly Wellington did not join the army until 1787, so it can not have been him who you state was captured in 1780. I think you meant General Baird. Secondly, Wellington did not fight the battle of Trafalger, that was Admiral Nelson who died on the deck of his flag ship "Victory"

  • @WolvesFanNo1 I did made a mistake; NOT Trafalgar but Waterloo battle fought by Duke of Wellington the stategy he learn from Tipu Sahib in 1797, he was Brigrade Commander under George Harris; he made great impression on his General Seringapatam expedition and was made administrator of the conquered territory. Indeed at his first attemp Tip Sultan caught him and impresioned hime for well over 5 months during this time he learned internal castle plan which helped him at second attempt.

  • @imrank340 I'm sorry, but I do not see who you mean, are you saying Wellington (Arthur Wellesley as he was known) was captured? I will agree with you, Wellington did indeed learn his trade in India, and during the war against the French in Spain and Portugal. After watching several videos on here, and reading about him in several books, I wonder who would have been the better commander, Wellington or Tipu Sultan, for me it would be very close .......

  • @WolvesFanNo1 You must be wondering what age he started his carrier? According to Indian historical record, Tipu Sultan Archives; reflect a 16+ age of boy who led attack on Tipu Sultan's castle in 1780 the first battle of Seringaptam. The final tip is if you visit Windsor Castle and after paying £20quid you may able to view all the artefact captured in Tipu Sultan's Castle; which displayed including his famous Golden Tiger which he killed bare handed using dagger and head scarf.

  • @imrank340 Well, the problem I am having is the fact that Wellington was born in 1769, making him only 11 in 1780, also the fact that he went to the diocesan school in Trim, Mr. Whyte's Academy in Dublin, and at Brown's School in Chelsea, then enrolled at Eton, where he studied from 1781 to 1784. Looking at records it states that on 7 March 1787 he was gazetted ensign in the 73rd Regiment of Foot. So I really do not see how Wellington could have been in India in 1780.

  • @imrank340 (continued) While it is clear Wellington was a very good general, I would use the battle of Salamanca as a prime example, he was given to making mistakes at times, Fuentes de Oñoro is an example. So it would have been very close for me. However I would like your opinion on this. The Tipu was a very brave fighter, and a good ruler, there is no denying that fact.

  • @WolvesFanNo1 Yes Arthur Wellesley the sone of Earl of Mornington who successfully fought Seringapatam battle, return to UK 1805 and become elected as MP for Rye Sussex and become Irish secretary as his Irish lineage. 1808 he was sent to Portugal to help again French victory at Vimeiro. In 1814 he was given title of Duke of Wellington. His initial carrier began in India after Eton Military school, where he very first time came across Rocket warfare, few working Rocket he brought with him to UK

  • long live auranghzab,

  • many will say im a mad man so be it, how many know the prophets hearts and will ?

  • on may the 4rth i will commerate you sincerly god be with you sultan sahib.

  • my tipu sahib, my heart flows even till this day when i hear your glorious name ,

  • britain only and only got in to tipu's india through treachery masters of bribary cowerds was afraid of him there dirty cowardley way paid off up till then they ran like hayena's and jackels when they heard his name especially in britain in the propaganda press that was just introduced

  • get ur point but, the british were weak, it wouldnt have been the insult if they only used treachery few times but they had to use it every time iin most battles why? cause their forces were no match against powerful large kingdoms like the sikh empire of punjab, afghanistan, marathas, tipu's mysore etc. they simply didnt have the massive force or money

  • ottoman decelerd tipu badshah maratha and nizam had to accept it with envy traiters only to be incinerated by the british themselfles serves them write for there own greed and evilness they barley lasted till 1803

  • dude u ae so right the british only won cause of treachery and deceisivnice, the only powers strong enaugh to resest the british were mysore under tipu, punjab under ranjit singh, and afghanistan, marathas and nizam just kissed foreign ass.its only cause of greed they won otherwise the empires of afhganistan, punjab, mysore with their massive forces would of ran over british like lions attacking a herd of bison

  • at that time india was aware of rule and divide and aware that this was of british product for there own gain but after 1857 they impelmented rule and divide on a mass scale even thou 1857 was about mass conversion to christianaty on a mass scale which is harderly mentioned

  • mughals empire in india was very active in 1857 , dehli the capital, british were aware if there was one empire that would unite india it was the aged mughal bahadur shah zafar

  • the fight that ensued in seringapatam was so intense and outnumberd that if the the french napoleon sent a thousand soldiers as wells said to tipu sahib who he most looked up to would have changed world history

  • tipu was the prince of the mughals ! and minted his own coins with the authorithy and blessings of the ottoman empire the cahilipahte of the muslims which reconised tipu sahibs power and will, over india and the world till the treacherous british stormed, with utmost despair, and fear and nearly lost even thou they outnumberd tipu's army 100 to 1

  • the ending of this video is sad that the mughals ended, but they did leave a great legacy.

  • when almost all the parts of british land was captured in 2nd mysore war, marattha threated to invade thus they were compelled to abandon the conquest of british land and concentrate more on malabar. marattha and nizam did always make the job easy for british. not only that, kings of malabar and trevancore healped british to defeat tipu in 3rd mysore mar whereas they were forgiven by tipu and haider after british defeat in 1st & 2nd mysore war.

  • They failed to mention that British bought one of Tipu's guy thats how he lost the battle!!

  • A blocked stream, will just find a way around.

  • our tiger tipu, sada sher! how much we miss you no words can describe our beloved ruler especially in these times.

  • bahadur shah! said many times a lot of pressure was put on tipu! eternal and external which what lead to the unfortunate outcome of treachery of pooniya, gulham ali and the judas mir sadique,in particular, the british walked in seringapatam it wasn't even a battle today we still paying the price especially the poor when the british enterd sringhapatam there eyes were shocked of the beauty wealth and inferstructure

  • at this time we asians must stick together rule and divide is very disructive!keep with the sepoys as we did in 1857!bahadur shah, the english will get the hindu against the musalman and the musalman against the hindu beware don't let them divide us strong words! they did not fight in vain and almost won that's the power one can achieve if united.

  • in NASA when you enter you see a pic of Tip firing the rockets against the British!

  • very interesting
