Umm, the only part of this song that needs any alternate picking is the solo, and I use it there. I realize I use a lot of downstrokes in this song, but that's because there really is no need for upstrokes.

I don't know if pinkflower is talking about the guitar I'm playing, or something else entirely, but I'm playing an Ibanez RG 7321, in the back is an old BC Rich from the 70s, and behind me is an old Silver Ibanez RG, I also have a classical guitar and an acoustic guitar you can't see, but I have no Rock Band gutiars. I don't even have Rockband, anyways...

The harmonics are pinch harmonics, it's a weird technique, you pick the note and your thumb hits the string right after, and vibrato in the left hand helps to sustain it and make it sound better.
