I remember my first interaction with Greenpeace in 1979. A man not much older than me (I was 18) came to the door. He was passing a petition around about enacting laws against nuclear power. At 2oC rise in temperature we are going to start the ice caps into irreversible melt - which will mean 3oC will be inevitable. At 2oC we lose most of the world coral - its been here for more than 100 MILLION years - 500 MILLION people AT LEAST rely on ot for food!
