There is only single way to trigger the counter attack, and that is by holding the high profile button and then press the armed hand button just when the enemy is about to strike. This will trigger the counter attack. The types of attacks are random. :)

And ya, the unarmed counter attacks are the best :)

I've been playing this game since it came out, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to trigger those special kill animations in combat. How do you get Ezio to do that multi-stab move, etc. to an enemy? I'd love to learn how, cause right now I have no idea.

I'm not talking about counter-kills, by the way.

@Ekobean Unlike most of the moves, that one is a non-counter move. Basically what you gotta do is hit your enemy untill his health gets low, and then press X one more time more rigidly and Etzio might execute that. I don't think he always does that move when you do that, but sometimes by chance he does.

@Ekobean Multi-kills, eh? Well you have to succesfully execute/attack an enemy. Then with the left stick you choose your next target, and quickly press X again to attack him. You can try this as many times as you want, at as many enemy's you want. But i won't be guaranteeing it will always work. Well better said, it won't work if you try it over and over again. And try to variate your combos/kills. Have fun playing! ;)

@TrueGamer181 im not sure but i think he does that sometimes when you attack him and he blocks with his sword and just repeat that until he makes a mistake and leaves an open spot, then strike ;) its not realy a counter attack btw now that i mention but i like it

Thats not all combo attacks !!!! You forget about hands without wepaon ! Clear hands have 2 combo if you back to guard, and 5 combo if you look to guard... and in the game have 3 combo if you just push attack with clear hands...he make a combo (and this work with twin blade)

my favourite weapons was the small knife because the kills were quick and they looked fucking bad ass like, they come at you with a sword strike, you move to the side and slice their neck, or you stab them in the leg real quick, then spin around and slice across their back, it all looks like a fluid dance with the knife
