and also cause issues such as tail rot which is horrible. Never give a Uro a bath for the same reasons,tail rot is serious and kill them.It happens when the water gets trapped inbetween the tail connections and rots away at the flesh.

-Diet should be maily dandelion greens,kale,and bok choy. Feeding veggies and fruits isn't bad but should never be used as a main dish. Millet is also a nice treat which they usually love. But limit the intake of iceburg,romain,ect. Also,stay away

Okay--So i'm gonna give you advice & this isn't to sound like a jerk but rather to help you because I made the same mistakes when I started. :)

-Don't use calcium sand,crushed walnut shells,or bird seed as substrate it can cause a range of problems including impaction because they tend to like the taste. Try sticking with washed play sand,they are kess likely to eat it.

-Don't EVER offer a water dish to a Uromastyx. This is for many reasons but mainly because they are prone to asperating

im not trying to be rude but sand is an extremely inappropriate substrate. believe if you may bird sees and a bit of sand around a 80-20 mix is best.. also lettuce is not good for youre uro. put cabbage greens in lentils romaine and peas . also the basking light you are using can cause kidney failure, swollen eyes and stopbreeding behaviour. also you should not put water in the cage. they get all their fluid from veggies. i almost forgot put fruit in there aswell.

@joe4IKEA sand isent a bad choice, but you gotta use a big food dish to make sure they dont injest sand cuz these guys eat like retards. and specify when you say letus isent good, i belive its iceburg lettus thats no good ( because of the epic water level in it) but yes you are right romain, cabbage or spinach is great too. LOL i love when mine eats fruit... he spazes and goes nuts, especialy for razberrys and bananna. and the ocational tinny dab of peanut butter LOL

I seen a yellow flame Uromastyx at my local pet store for 100. it was bout 4 inchs long and very cool looking. i had never seen one like it b4. i wouldve got it but i have no room 4 him.......i think. how big are they supposed to get? btw i like ur gfs uro, very cool lizard.

oh and by the way have you seen this guys vids? He has some of the greatest care for reptiles ive seen on youtube. All his animals come first and he doesnt just cram them in. His water dragon has one of the best custom vivariums ive seen. so go give people crap someplace else dumbass

lmao your a moron. the guy we buy our reptiles from specializes in reptiles,and he keeps it for him slef if it doesnt sell u dip shit,its a guy who owns his own store and i got her to bring it back becuase it was her first reptile. and i didnt want it to die on her,if you dont understand that then your fucked.i guess ur a person who will buy ur kids a puppy that u know is sick and may die not caring that your kids will be upset.its not hoarding its a hobby/pashion.and we see it all the time.
