@narutocrazy1000 I could eat some now :) It has been a few weeks since I enjoyed this last. Thank you for the visit and subscribing. Have a great day! KtC
@boing123a Depends how much you win and how many days I get off. Where you live is important too as I prefer a warmer climate if I had a choice. cheers KtC
@pandmonium2k7 Tasty cut of meat. We really enjoy it BBQ'd and usually on the med.-rare side. A few beers and your ready to go to heaven. Thank you Gary, cheers mate! KtC
Oh dear... I just murdered my last rib eye, and it's time to restock. My butcher knows that when I say "rib eyes" they're to be 1 inch thick. I'll get a look this time when I tell him to make one of them 4 inches think. LOL
That looks mouth wateringly delish! Medium rare is my limit. If one comes out medium, I've screwed up, but I'll tolerate it. And if I'm cooking for guests, and someone says "well done," I'll cook him a hamburger. :-P
@anmoose I know folks who buy a pricey cut of meat and then prepare it well done. Each there own I suppose. As for the 4 inch steak those epic meal dudes would probably try that. Take a whole rib roast and set it on it's side lol. el la Fred Flintstone lol.
This size cooks up quick an is more than enough for two or three (plus there is always the bone to gnaw on too).
@koolbossjock Certainly goes well the beef. My wife enjoys that combo very much. I too, but I favour the au jus or just straight up most times. cheers Boss! KtC
@MissSolt Beef! Prime Rib is usually associated with beef while a 'Crown Rib Roast' is usually associated with pork. See my 'Cuts Of Beef' and Cuts of Pork' videos for more info. My error for not making clearer. cheers! KtC
@SouthernSky Yes it is beef. The prime is really a grade of the 'rib roast' however has become more popular as just the 'best cut' from the beef rib. 'Prime' in the US means higher grade of meat/ cattle. In Canada the grades are 'A' 'AA' 'AAA' with the triple being of highest grade (quality/ aging of the meat).
The sauce is just beef drippings collected from the pan (some add a bit of beef broth). As the French call 'au Jus! cheers mate! KtC
@angelwings500 They do prep. up easy enough. The times on cooking are the trick. For the smaller sizes the times I listed are the norm. On a very large (10+ lbs.) a meat thermometer is usually best as a 'doneness guide' as these very larger ones have to be watched a bit more. Other than that they are a basic prep.
@diogobh2004 Each there own for this cut. I would 'coarse' salt lightly on most beef however, some cuts/ method/ doneness, does not really need it. I like this cut on the med. - rare so it will have the edge on the salt already (vampire)
@AAgony I hear you. Been there done that. I have quite a few one-pan meals and budget foods posted. I usually post them in the fall or cooler months (hot here now). We always had a Crock-Pot/ Slowcooker that we had something cooking in most days. I do have a few of those posted as well. I do understand and will make note! Thanks for the suggestion/ reminder. Perhaps I will tag a few 'student' or make a playlist to make them easier to find. cheers! KtC
@italyboy2009 mmmmmm meat mmmmmm. I usually mix it up but I was away for awhile and have been enjoying some of my home cooked foods (meat) the last while. I do have some non-meat planned :O
im not a fan of prime rib. but man i must admit you have my mouth watering! looks great and once again another awesome video.great job! keep em coming!!!
@rogerlee337 I enjoy the prime rib but it can be pricey so it occasional for us. The best thing to do with the cut is just not over season. Thank you, I appreciate your comment! KtC
@GUNRVKHNH I take it then you do not like meat? There are many non-meat videos posted here. It is summer season here so the BBQ is on. I do post a few vegan and vegetarian foods as well as some beverages, desserts and sweets. The series go in batches of 25 with variable seasonal themes (most). It's summer so there will be more meat ones at this time. Sorry to disappoint! cheers, KtC
@saucezomg lol Something about cooking the crap out of a 15$ dollar piece of meat is just wrong. Folks are just best selecting a less expensive cut of meat. I use to always gasp when someone ordered up a 30$ filet mignon or prime rib 'well done'. However, each there own. Hell I will eat it raw! :D cheers! KtC
@jenzeppelin Hi Jen! Just dropped by your channel and gae the sub botton a 'click'. Nice videos over there. I added a few to my favourites and will get back to watch more soon. Thank you for the comment! KtC
@LucLeFou A webber copy. This type works for me as I tend to get new ones every couple of years. This one was only about 30$ on sale. I like the webber but I still end up buying new ones so I just go cheap. I do not even use the gas one I have. Just isn't a BBQ with gas. Thank you! KtC
@marcvince15 I will probaly receive a comment or two on the 'pink' however, meat cuts like this are best enjoyed on the medium or rare side. I feel it is a waste of money over-cooking these types of cuts. I understand well-done but I would recommend just getting a cheaper cut of meat. I love the pink too :)
