  • Let's hope that wind continues to blow with "climate change" going on. It's awfully difficult to move a windmill to another location.

  • We need 'em bad! Just think of all of the jobs this will create. Here is your renaissance America! The answer my friend is blowing in the wind. No radioactive waste. And you don't have to import the wind from the Middle East!

  • NOT IF THE MIDDLE EAST HAS ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT.AMERICA WILL NEVER BE ENERGY INDEPENDENT THANKS TO BUSH SR.

  • Sooner the better.. right?

  • Go Tehachapi - California, near about >4800 wind turbines already installed in Mojave desert.

  • @himsinitaly most of those 4800 generate ZERO electricity and just spin freely. CONSERVATION is the only way...the rest are just tax and rate scams!!!!!!

  • they just passed a billion dollar deal for a windfarm here in marthas vineyard

  • like the remodeling clip &NANE2&. check out my home energy stuff using Rooftop Wind Turbines and solar panels on my roof.

  • Go Cape Wind!

  • I can't wait for all of the coal plants in the world to be replaced with:

    Fission plants

    Fusion plants

    Wind plants

    Solar farms

Tide harvesters (yes, they're under development)

The greedy oil companies and coal power companies can't hold out against technology forever!

  • LMFAO- These will be replaced by "greedy" parts suppliers.

  • lol, your prolly right. "So, EnviroTech, you want to buy a wind turbine? That'll cost you, oh i dont know, 11 trillion dollars!" lol, thatll suck

  • Only a moron would think that "greedy people" work, or own, one sector of the economy.

If you make their oil industry uncompetitive they will simply invest those "windfall profits" in "green energy" and repeat the process there.

  • lol, yeah i know. We'll never be free from them, but at least green energy doesnt destroy the atmosphere and biospheres

  • @KittyRokher They pay for themselves in less than five years. After that it's all gravy.

  • @electrickithara they do??? You mean after the tax subsides and the rip off electric rates granted to them at 5 times wholesale rates? Ever see the protests in Denmark? What do we do when the wind isn't blowing...or they get destroyed in a storm? Insurance won't cover over 90 mph...Salazar is a IDIOT!

  • "Realizalize" funny, USA have A wind farm, Denmark with 5 million people have a lot, i live in Denmark on a little island, and just here, we have about 5-6 on land. and a couple on sea on the way:) plus! Denmark has also wave "farms". which collects energy from waves on transfer it to electrical energy.

  • @MikkelKofoed true... true....

    hvilken ø?

  • @MikkelKofoed and the back up is ...

u always need to plan for the worst

and i dont believe that a heavy load can be used on the wind ,its good as help but not main power ,same goes for the ocean waves, there are far better ways but like 1 of the people said its all about control the masses....my 2cents

  • @MikkelKofoed

riddle: i am 15 min. away where the old old

border and toll collectors post with danmark/ ......., germany used to be.

i`ve passed Rendsburg by train and along the route , there are plenty of mills.

    i heart öksböll.

  • it's all about money,and control people.wake up.

  • @chrisekelman for US, yes but if it was about power, wouldnt we just burn coal for power instead?

  • we can do all kinds of things. The problem is our goverment. I live in AZ. We don't have problems with Palo Verde Nuclear. It provides how many states with power? We are like sheep being led to the slaughter because all these people eat all this shit up. Go green,

climate change, gov't health care . it sounds alot like the USSR not the USA. Peace and Love to you in this fine Obamanation Thomas.

  • @chrisekelman

then, where is the used materiall for this plant going?

  • Lol danish coins got holes in them because the danish government är DANSKJÄVLAR!

  • there is a windfarm in the usa, i ve seen it in films....i dunno the location, but it is sunny and dry there....

  • We have everything these Dane's are talking about. I wouldn't surprised if we have more of it.

Their grid supports FAR fewer people.

  • It a great idea, only one problem.

It still comes with a bill in the mail.

A bill in the mail is not so much the problem as much as it is the wages payed by businesses today in america..

  • wow..cools..i wish we have few that at Malaysian Seas~

  • There would have been 1 on the east coast already if not for opposition by the Kennedy's. They were afraid it would spoil their view from Martha's Vineyard. When your rich and powerful you can block things that would help the regular people.

  • jag är halv dansk! :D

  • i hate ocean, and that scares me

    ?

  • I think they look kinda soothing when they're arranged sensibly like that. When they're just scattered all over the place it looks noisy and annoying, but the line out into the water is kinda cool. Personally I like the idea of slapping a solar roof on my house and having control of my own energy, but this is an important step for national infrastructures.

  • are those windmills driven by the wind or the ocean's current??

  • @snowbored84

    ...huh?

    Windmills.

    WINDmills.

There's a clue in the name.

  • Right... I just thought it was strange that the "windmills" were located in the ocean instead of on land. There is theoretical technology that allows for turbines to be driven by the oceans current and was just wondering if this was an example.

  • why surprised. The coast will boast some of the most strong and steady wind currents available. That makes it an ideal location for wind farms.

  • and no they are driven by the wind not the water current. the turbines are where the blades turn

  • netherland seems to have such thing....

they`ve a barrier in place, they can open close at will, i dunno if for energy though.

  • Denmark is number 1 in this cartegory of energy production(i think).

  • Danish windmills are awesome!

  • troede jeg var den eneste viking der ser current:)

  • that's my hood!!!

  • So sad a lot america does not have the will for this.

  • To many would complain that they are eye sores.

  • That's what's great about the midwest (and midwesterners) is that they're stuck inland.

We are California, and we don't give a fuck about that lot of america that doesn't have the will for this, they don't have the pacific ocean do they?

And I bet Washington and Oregon are in as well. I challenge the East Coast to see where these things get built first.

  • Just like we can get electricity from house to house, we will be able to get wind energy from house to house. Plus all you need is a large open land. The midwest is nothing but open land.

I don't get your argument and I don't get why you got 1 thumbs up. I'll change that.

  • nice system, but is a shame that only a few countrys really cares the climate.

  • im from denmark! =D

  • yay^^

  • er du også? :P

  • nouu I'm from switzerland if you asked that xD?

  • I've been there! Hearts on the money! MEGET BRA!

  • Very cool

  • im from danmarm!!!:) <3
