i have respect for crimson viper after watching her used by combofiend after he owned the sbo qualifier playing PURELY OFFENSIVELY. his crossups and ridiculous mixups were insane that they were almost impossible to defend against. he is gonna be fun to watch in SBO.

Good shit but me being a Viper only player I try this kind of shit all the time. Not to burst any bubbles here but about half of those mixups can be escaped by simple backdashing. Most if not all backdashes have invincibility frames on start up. So those "reset" mixups [i.e EX Seismo SJC HK ->land->mixup] Can be escaped by simply backdashing.. Granted certain characters' backdashes are faster, slower, longer, shorter, etc.. than others. Also, u can still punish backdashes though

I play viper too, and I was just about to say something similar to what you just mentioned. These combos are cool, but even against ryu a mashing shoryuken will still get in the way. I wouldn't go so far as to say that these combos aren't practical, but these are good example on why Viper is so hard to beat (and hard to use for that matter).

That's when you use the most damaging option you got in this game. Do nothing. Baiting reversal attempts when their trying to escape mixups is essential especially in a game where a DP Ultra will just get you killed. You're not going to be beating many flow chart Ken's with these mixups.

Slow ass walking speed, shitty crossup options, lack of a good range ground poke... he's top tier, but he has weaknesses that can be exploited.

His slow walking speed doesn't mean shit when he never has to chase you down. He has a cross up, even if it isn't that great that's not much of a weakness lol. He also has some of the best pokes in the game. Lol @ no "good range ground poke," practically all of his moves have amazing range including: s. hk, s. mk, s. lk, c. mk.

Lol at weaknesses for Sagat. This is coming from a Sagat player too.
