"You are living in a tremendously beautiful dream, but you have to be awake about it. Then only a gratefulness arises. I call that gratefulness true religion." This is the most inspiring and empowering talk on meditation I've heard in a long time. Thank you Osho!
thank you...i remember i am needed thats why i;m here. Though my ex husband replaced me in a matter of months... i cannot ever be replaced in reality.
infinate. zen, not zen. this is the argument and it's boring. I refuse to think either because all of the thoughts give me a headache, like fucking children shouting at each other. Bored with all of you voices, voicing your wisdom and your agreements and experience. STF and become a buddha already! Shut your mouth to taste the strawberry!
@Agui007 Ah! please.... listen to more than a soundbite B4 passing comment.. read, experience, actually Robert Andon wilson.. Is also a Non Believer... Its poss to say that is a belief!!! its a very 0pen non dogmatic one..
Osho it seems to me is saying act from your 'self' not from a conditioned set rules attached to a belief that you may or may not have personnally experienced.. or a wilson puts it.. the mab is not the territory.. 0mmm
@Agui007 hey - beliefs are composed of thought - Osho is talking about being in tune with, and responsive to, what life presents from the silence beyond thought.
This is a problem caused by words, a belief system is a system, obviously. So absence of something, is not a system it is the absense of system. If you call that a belief system you have not understood the meaning of the word belief or system. He has to explain what he means, but when he tries to explain what he means, he is already lying, because what he is doing is being alert which is not caused by a system of toughts or mindchatter. He has to lie, to explain it for the mind.
Hi i like your channel and your videos I just want a little favour from you guys.I am a fourth generation musician. I have read most of the books by Osho, but the titles 'Joy' and 'Awareness' rank amongst my all time favourite spiritual works. They represent Osho in a nutshell at his very best.
have to say that while i'll never understand why things strike a chord, osho's words have always managed to affect me deeply. they even were the missing bit that brought me to the buddhism that i have rejected for years [that my dad ascribed to]. and also had a moment of clarity that is so much a parallel for things he's written that it was my guarantee he spoke from that place
Beloved Master!! You have given a new meaning to a mundane life. I could never thank you more. To see your video is like going into the deepest meditation. Tears well up when you realize that you are irreplaceable and unique. Love you Osho
we are irreplaceable! i always felt that i had special place in this world but somehow modern system made me forget that and after this video that same feeling came back, i feel im back to my journey!!!! im truly happy right now
i must be thanking my brother for showing me this clip and introducing me to this man. I like his words and his wisdom. His passion for life must be respected. Maybe i should give meditation a try, it def wouldnt hurt. If he knows of 112 ways to make my life better then it will me senseless not to try even just 1 of them. I am not a christian person nor any of the other choices that are out there, be it from my ignorance of any other religions maybe, i will find out sooner or later..prob later.
@cadrehanson Osho is not about conditioning . He is about destroying conditioning in you and the ego too. Meditation, as he says it, is everything you do with awareness. why does he come coming back at the same thing, this awareness, this noticing, this witnesssing, this 'watcher'? It is the open secret. Know that there is noticing and that you are are not a 'you'/ego/body.name. That is the whole thing right there, but don't understand it conceptually. As he says it...you have to live it.
the last part reminds me of a Chaplin movie when he explains to a sad girl that if god worried to create that stone on the floor he surely cares a lot about her too
eg. "Man without a beard and mustache is like a woman with mustache and beard"
Tell me how come it IS NOT a belief?
Man of his position should not be careless when picking up words. They MUST be precise if he wants to be considered seriously. In those kind of moments I simply lose respect for him. In my opinion he's just improvising, mostly in sense, unfortunately sometimes not...
@stev1989YT That's the whole point of his philosophy. He lived in the moment and did not care for any consistancy in what he said. He even considered it a good thing that he contradicts himself, because that meant to him that he was learning new things.
@stev1989YT like he said, he's not caring about consistency, he's just in the moment. So when in the moment he fells like telling joke, it's always spot - on. And like he said in other talk - listening intellectually is a kind of deafness.
@stev1989YT Yeah, seriously. Try to laugh! You take Osho WAY too seriously. What Osho said about this mans mustache is certainly not a belief. He is just saying something humorous. I would recomend Osho's laugh meditation. Laughter is connected to love.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
I think its because he's enlightened lol ... Its like he's dreaming awake I guess so he's extremely calm... I felt that sometimes after Meditation aha... :D
He takes all the time he feels he needs to convey, as completely as he can, the message he wishes to share. If you slow your head down to match his pace, you'll find his words are far more powerful than that of our standard dialect, because of the time he invests in each phrase.
There is nothing invested in his "illuminated" state. When you invest something into a moment you are doing something, you are making action, meaning you are not in a meditative state, meaning you are not illuminated or awakened etc.
Interesting, funny and inspiring. Osho´s teachings are so unique, I have never found anything like them, they give you full freedom to be, to discover everything by yourself.
Let us let go of our beliefsand dogmas, trust our spontanious thoughts and actions, be grateful for what existence has given us, and reminber that vast existence needs us. Beautiful teachings Osho. I am grateful.
There is no god but the man him self..... lols ...... i have not created stars and the sun... even i cant control anything including me too... his concepts are for those who have no or less faith...
My favorite technique from the 112 Methods, or at any rate, the one I've had success with, is focusing on the gap between the IN and OUT breath.
It states that every IN breath, we are born. With every out breath, we die. Every breath cycle is a rebirth. Focusing on the gap can help stop time and bring awareness to everyday life.
~The 112 Methods of Meditation that Osho speaks of is the "Vigyan Bhairav Tantra," that he discusses in lectures in his "The Book of Secrets." This 112 Methods are also in the back of German author Paul Reps' "Zen Flesh, Zen Bones." They are very old and effective. Tantra simply means "technique."~
His comment really hits you hard to wake up. Look at the stars and this infinite universe. Iam truly greatful to this existence. There was no one ever like me and there will be no one like me again ever!!! Ha ha ha...
"A man without mustache and beard, is like a woman WITH mustache and beard" lol good one. I have always thought shaving was the most unatural thing, but it seems most women like us to do it. I really wonder where it started.
What a rare, precious being he was.
