  • I totally agree with what you just said! You say that no matter what you do, you can not put on wait. I am the opposite. ANYTHING I eat makes a huge difference. And I have caught myself saying that I need to lose weight. But in reality, I just need to get more exercise. People should embrace their natural body shapes and builds. <3 love your video's!

  • Why do you buy into it? Why do you take this on? It's so shallow. There wouldn't anxiety and distress if you didn't buy into this stupid skinny obsession. Why not work on some accomplishments instead that make you a more interesting person.

  • Im size 10/12 and classic pear shaped. Im 20 and been around all the mags saying size 0 is goal and all the skinny models. Iv been so down about my shape recently but you have said it how it is. Everyone is different and not everyone is made to fit into the skinny girl mould! Size and weight is the biggest topic at the moment and its being thrown around as an insult nowadays. No one is "too fat" or "too skinny" as everyone is different :D

  • You and Bethan are so inspirational. Such a big fan:)

  • You should do more videos like this :)

  • I couldn't agree anymore, my friends go on all these diets and I'm just like 'no, your beautiful how you are' and my friends are all size 10's! It really annoys me how these celebrities brain was us into thinking that insane dieting is good! And tbh boys don't help one bit! All the guys in are year have no idea that curvy is beautiful, they should be worshipping the walk the girls in are year walk on as there all beautiful and curvy, instead they call them fat which makes them really insecure!

  • Thank you so much fay, I'm a size 8 or 10 and I have been trying to lose weight to become a size 6 and this video made me realise that my body is fine as it is :') <3 xxx

  • I am a stick im not anorexic im a women.

  • it's so hard to stop comparing yourself to other people in this bloody looks obsessed world!

thanks for this video btw, it helped me alot <3

  • @FayBurmingham Thanks, btw, for addressing such an important topic! Take care, hun! God bless you!

  • @ FayBurmingham I understand you completely. You're right, women-including myself-or anbody else for that matter, shouldn't let magazines, & the media influence what we define as beautiful. The media, & magazines promote that only one body type is beautiful, & acceptable in society, which is absurd! We're all beautiful nomatter which body type we happen to have. As long as our body size doesn't effect our health, then we should be proud of whatever body type we happen to be blessed with!

  • You are spot on. For a young lady you are ahead of the game. Kudos. You make some very good points.

  • This message is very important to women of all ages! Love yourself for who you are :)

  • This is great :) x

  • I'm having a really bad day with my self esteem, the "looking in the mirror and wanting to cry". I'm not even that big. I'm a size 12. I'm short and just don't carry weight that well. I then watched this video and realised that there is nothing wrong with my body and I have a pretty face too and a boyfriend who thinks I am the most gorgeous girl in the world. Thanks for making my day. :) x

  • Thank you for bringing me to my senses <3 :)

  • I was never overweight but lot a bit of weight because I wasn't happy with my body. I'm now a healthy weight and happy with my body, but people always tell me 'you need to put on weight' which I find sort of discouraging and hurtful. I am in no way underweight and people don't realise that telling someone they need to put on weight is still criticizing their body.

  • i agree with what your saying, but its not only curvy girls that have the problem, skinny girls have the same problem if they go to extremes and i think that should be concentrated on as well really, they're both touchy subjects, but its all stupid and everyone should just get along hahaa :--))

  • This is all very easy for you to say as a skinny girl. :/

  • Fantastic video I totally agree with everything you've said and really admire you for trying to get this message across to so many people cause we are all beautiful regardless of shape and size :) xxx

  • I had anorexia for 3 years, then I recovered. A few months after that, my boyfriend's mother told me I was fat and that I needed to lose weight. I cried and cried about it, then started starving again and dropped about 20lbs. I STILL hate myself. People telling girls they're too fat or too skinny doesn't just happen on youtube, it feels like the entire world demands that we be skeletal. :( i wish more people were as open-minded and genuine as you are, because it would save a lot of lives.

  • I love the message you give about naturally skinny girls. I constantly have to deal with people calling me skinny and acting as if it was my fault. People don't realize that when you tell someone "You're so skinny, EAT MORE!" it does the same amount of damage as if you said "You're so fat, LOSE WEIGHT!" Its quite sad really.

  • I am 5'8 and naturally skinny and i hate it :/

  • Omg...i thought you were 20+!

You speak like a grown woman haha

And i really do hate the pressure society has on young girls/all woman.

Also...you arent "picking" on skinny girls...not at all

You never said there was something wrong with being skinny.

  • @MaryIsABear There wouldn't be pressure if females didn't give into it and take it on. Women always give into it so it's their own problem. Rise above it and work on something of substance.

  • im skinny and trying to be curvier, and your telling me curvy is more beautiful than thin.? thank you so much for that.

  • @eliesh35 If you watched the video through, you'd see that she's actually not criticizing anyone for being skinny - she's just telling everyone that it's ok to be whatever body size you are. And, if you wanted pity, look in a magazine, because it's only ever really skinny girls in there, because apparently they're more 'beautiful'. I agree with everything said in this - it's all so true!

  • im finding this kind of offensive, all girls are beautiful but why are you picking on skinny girls, if their thin goodfor them, bigger great! i don't think its an issue its being tacked but not all girls idolise that, i disagree with what your saying its not all true. I'm skinny and i want to put on weight and I'm trying to look like them, however how does that make me feel? skinny and trying to be curvier, and telling me curvy is more beautiful. thanks. great self esteem boost.

  • @eliesh35 what she is saying is that unwell skinny girls are who are being idolised and people are extreme dieting to look like that and ending up looking drab and being very sick. She states in the videos that she is naturally very slim and everyone of all shapes and sizes should be confident in themselves :) The only thing that isn't beautiful is girls being skinny because they have made themselves ill... they need help and people shouldn't wanna look like that xx

  • i thought this was a good video approached in an intelligent way. However, there is a difference between being "curvy" and being "Fat", as you say you can be curvy and thin. I'm not talking about youtubers but some people carry more fat and that doesn't necessarily mean they are curvier than someone who is thinner. So basically I don't think "curvy" can be used in the same context as describing someone's weight.

  • Inspiring :) i understand where you're coming from. From my point of view, as long as you're healthy, it doesnt matter what your body is like. People should embrace it :D P.S. Where's your jumper from? I need it!

  • thank you so much, a great message to send out! everyone's beautiful xx

  • Faye i loved this video! your one of my fave youtubers because your so down to earth, you say things straight and you know what your talking about! well done for doing this video, you worded this so well, well done! there need to be more youtubers like the amazing you <3

  • I really agree with everything you've said! Some girls at my college are mean to themeselves and other girls about their weight, and they always calorie count and I'm like, it doesn't matter! This one girl said, "oh my god, the girl I just saw down the corridor was SO fat, she was like a balloon." I find it so infuriating! But it is only because they feel as if they overweight themselves, even though they are not. :) x

  • you pretty much said it right there--> bone structure. I think girls/women need to understand that not every female is born the same height or have the same bone structure. Knowing this, they can learn to accept themselves instead of being too influenced by what others say. From a guy's POV, it is more sexy when a girl knows this & accepts herself for who she is and FEELS healthy in their own bodies as oppose to trying too hard to change it.

  • Thank you so much for this video. I was having body issues and now I think 'Stuff it, everyone's beautiful'<3 xx You are also gorgeous

  • Fay don't listen to the people hating on this video, I think you have a brilliant point and don't say anything that isn't true or is offensive. Thank you for making this, I hope it gets more views. X

  • ...(2) disciplined. But I want this bad feeling away after eating something. 'Cause I'm eating healthy and I try to keep myself fit..I think sometimes I don't realize, that I'm NOT fat. Today I saw myself in a window and I was quite surprised how skinny my legs are. I don't either really think skinny girls are more beautiful than curvy girls. I just critizise myself and put myself under pressure. Thank you for this video.

  • maybe you should do an whole video on girl stuff just an idea luv this video make more please xx

  • hey. I really want to thank you for this video. You ar so right. I'm wearing xs and I often get compliments, because of my body..cause I'm skinny but I have boobs and some curves too (I hope it doesn't sound selfish, 'cause I'm just repeating what other people said). I should be proud of my body. But I am often not. I hate my tighs and sometimes my belly and I'm scared of increase weight. I feel bad after every piece of chocolate. I eat healthy and I eat also sweets 'cause I'm not very ..(1)

  • Totally agree with you everyone should found his/her size on the shops not just skinny ones because nowadays a girl that wears a 14-16 (Uk size) can´t easily found clothes at globaly well known shops and they should from my point of view as far as I have that size.Thank you.

  • your video is so true thank you for pointing it out it drives me crazy that everyone is always trying to kill them selves by skinning down or are always saying there fat and having no self confidence to see how beautiful they really are

  • You're offically my new inspiration. Thank you so much.

  • she looks like janet <3

  • Amen.

  • totally agree! i'm a size 10uk and i have hips boobs and a bum and i love my body and would'nt change anything! i hate what the media has done :( just subbed! you're lovely xx

  • i love you, and i love what you stand for. don't wish you were more voluptuous, because you have an amazing womanly figure, i would kill to have a figure like yours. watch your self in your xmas tag at 0:26- your gorgeous!

  • Inspiring Fay, im on a diet now and I feel so much pressure to lose weight around my college there are bigger girls and skinny girls and i find the skinny girls taking the mick out of bigger girls. It angers me and I think we need more curvy rolemodels for girls to look up to as it didn t always used to be like this. x

  • i don't really agree with you saying that curvy women are the only real women, real women are just women who are happy in their own skin? skinny or curvy xx :-) xx

  • @TillysMints I didn't solely say only curvy women are real women, i bought the fact I am skinny but still feel like a women, and we should appreciate every body shape we have because boy shape, hourglass, apple, pear shape are all forms of a woman's body x

  • wow! well said gorgeous!

  • I'm gonna probably make a video about this too if thats alright :)

  • great video fay :)

  • I've seen a lot of videos like this and I think they're great. But I think the main focus should be building girls of ALL shapes and sizes up. Letting them know that the way they are naturally is beautiful. I personally don't think it should be focused on one body type. I'm a naturally skinny girl and honestly I wish I could be curvy. As silly as that may sound. I get ridiculed for my weight because I'm not seen as being a "woman". We all need to embrace our bodies no matter what we look like.

  • 07:21 "Curvy girls get far more attention from boys". So true. That's what I NEVER understood. I'm a guy, and I totally LOVE curves! Why? Because they're FEMALE shapes! I'm not interested in girls who literally look like guys!

(Doesn't mean naturally skinny girls aren't fine, they totally are, I think you get what I mean.)

  • i completely agree with what your saying fay and i respect that, i just think that sometimes -myself for example- people feel as though loosing weight or putting on weight will benefit them in their confidence, but on the other hand i do believe that certain people take this a step too far. I think its just about finding what works best for you, and for most people that is staying exactly the way they are! xx

  • Blogged it!! Tinypollypocket.blogspot :) xxx

  • Well said sweetie. I make videos and get hate for being curvy. Wish more people thought what you think and said. Much love xxx

  • and fab video Fay <3 You're right more beauty gurus should stop promoting things like "how to make yourself look slimmer" and shit. It's all a bunch of cack :') xxx

  • I'm not gonna lie, I am not really a fan of my body but I have come to accept that it is me and being yourself and accepting yourself and being confident is the most attractive thing. There will always be people who will disagree, tell you you're fat, tell you you're skinny but people have got to remember that there are gonna be people who think you're absolutely stunning and that's all that should matter! If you're naturally a size 0 you're stunning if you're naturally a size 14 you are stunnin

  • @Colegirl33 I think she means that their body have stopped growing, they're done developing. They're not teenage girls that aren't done developing.

  • thanks so much for this video, i totally agreeed with everything you said!! by the way mori from slightlyscented gave you a mention on facebook and sent us here! xxx

  • I completely agree. I'm 15 and roughly 5ft 2. I weight about 6/7 stone and I used to feel like I needed to loose weight because I didn't feel comfortable they way I was. But to be honest I've accepted the way I look and I have no problem with it. I think girls feel so pressured to look like a 'perfect' way but in reality its not true. Thank you Fay!! You've changed my perception on how I look at things and my body:) xx

  • I completely agree with everything you say in this video all the girls you mentioned are so beautiful. But honestly it made me feel abit bad because I'm a naturally underweight girl *fast matabolism or something* and I wish I could have curves and be bigger and look like these girls but I can't :(. in no way is this hate or anything just thought I'd say. :)

  • @xMelroseDinerx No I am exactly the same! I never put weight on, but that is just our body type, but you have to love being your size, as other girls would love to be your size, and you would love to have other girls body type :) We all want what we can't have eh ;) haha x

  • I'm tumblr'ing this xx

  • this is AMAZING. I was just nodding as I watched this ;) I love your videos like this<3

  • thank you for this fay! every girl should feel beautiful whatever there body shape or appearance! thankyou! xx

  • So glad somebody finally spat it out, haha! I've always loved knowing people that were happy with their body shape/size/weight. I prefer flaws over perfection. :)

  • *high five* this is what the whole of Youtube needed to hear.

  • you're unreal for this vid. wish there was more girls out there like you. xx

  • Completely agree with everything you say, thank you so much for this video fay! xxx

  • you've said it all tbh! xx

  • honey this video is spot on. i'm promoting it like a mother fucker, every girl on the planet should watch this! Mega mega love for you baby g xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Thankyou for this, Fay.

  • I'm naturally tiny, but I'm an adult. I can't help that my body structure is naturally like this. I eat everything in front of me, but I also keep a healthy diet, exercise and mentality towards myself and life. Looks are not necessarily mutually exclusive with health, especially mental health!!

Regardless, I'm tired of people forcing me to not accept my natural body!

  • wow this video is amazing! subscribing<3

  • i totally agree with you. i used to be a boyish figure until i was 24 and then i started developing curves. i was putting on some kgs as i was getting older. I think everybody has a body shape and a weight that is proper for them and them only. Dieting is stupid, having a healthy and wholesome nutrition alongside with exercise on a daily basis, is what matters and not how you look like. A lot of diet crazed girls are actually weak, with anaemia, undernouished and this is very disturbing.

  • @LigoApOla Thank you summing up basically the whole point of my video!! Beautifully summarised :) Thank you xx

  • Fay you babe(: thank you!! <3

  • LOVE this video, will link to you when I do mine. And you're gorgeous. x

  • @gemsmaquillage Thank you Gemma xx

  • ive been wanting to do this type of video for ageees but never done it.. i love this videeo and i agree with everything you said.. :))) xxx

  • @LoveLottie21 Aww you should :) thank you xx

  • thankyou. <3

  • i can really relate to you,I have the same body shape as you have... i never put on weight, and i eat soo much junk.. -_- it frustrates me.. and yeah girls can be bitches sometimes. xx

  • @1234blablaa Yeah its annoying haha x But if we all appreciate what we have, then we shouldn't be jealous or bitchy about someone else's body, its just a shame not every girl understands that x

  • I'm really unconfident with my body. I have an hourglass shaped body, but everyone looks so thin, and i feel like i have to change

  • @JulyanaMorais An hourglass is such a beautiful body shape!! Everyone tries to have an hourglass body shape by using belts around the waist to create curves, you are lucky!! :) xx Do not change yourself, trust me, you are beautiful x

  • thankyou x

  • Agreed! as you know Fay i'm skinny like you, but its getting out of hand.

  • (: this is really inspiring! its great that you put up this video sharing your feelings (: love you !

  • Thank you for doing this video Fay! Love you! xx
