"In a country made up of so many different kinds of people, it's nice to know that so many of them have found that this is the place to be. "
Amazing how back then, tailoring to specific groups was not what they wanted to achieve, but fun for the whole family, everybody's family. Too bad that idea changed, and now we're all fractured and at each others' throats.
I do miss that Movie of the Week. What a cool concept to make movies with people who were out of work actors or actors typically known for their watered down typecast roles from stupid sitcoms or TV dramas. Sometimes the movies were horrible and sometimes they were great. Nobody had VCR's or Cable with different competitive programming. That didn't come until later ( if at all). Everybody who looked at the world through a TV in America got 1 movie.
@paulj0557 I thought she looked familiar, heh. Also, even though this was the first season for "The Six Million Dollar Man," which started out on the ABC Suspense Movie, Lee Majors was still a regular on "Owen Marshall" before the other show became a series a few months later.
A nice memory. In those days, I was an ABC watcher, and I'd watch many of those shows. I loved the Odd Couple, Kung Fu, and Love American Style. Also, The Streets of San Francisco was one of the best cop shows of the 70's. In the fall of 73 I was heading into my Junior year of High School, and this video reminds me of those happier, less stressful days. Thanks for posting.
I was 10 years old and remember all of them. Thanks for the memory. :)

Do I hear Ernie Anderson in the background?
He sounds crisp and clear in the late 70s, throughout the 80s, and in the early 90s

@newscaster13 I believe that was him, branded as "The Voice of ABC".
