  • seen them twice now, Mike was amazed I remembered the Buddy Holly story of That'll be the day taken from the film he saw called yep, you got it The Searchers

  • nice to see them doing well-

  • ive seen the the searchers a few times they are superb !im a younger fan of 39yrs old ,although i grew up with my parents really in to them they are fab life ive seen then at crawley social club and the kings in southsea they can really bang out their songs worth everypenny seeing them !

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!

  • Not as good as MikePenders Searchers, Mike keeps to the original sound....go see them

  • I beg to differ...this is THE Searchers with founder John Mc Nally and Frank Allen.

    Awesome!

  • Mike Pender`s Searchers - LOL . You mean Mike Pender and his backing band - not a patch on The Searchers even without him . The problem with Mike Pender is that his ego is bigger than his talent. He is a sad case to be honest.

  • It may well be Mike Pender and his backing band as opposed to McNally, Allen and there backing band. He may have an ego, but he was the sound and voice of the Searchers.

  • ...like Dave Lee Roth is the sound and voice of Van Halen ?? If people want the real thing they go and see Van Halen.

  • N0, Like Mick Jagger is the sound of the Stones, Reg Presley is the sound of the Troggs, etc, etc. So if you want to hear the voice of the Searchers( After Tony Jackson) and the original 12 string lead guitar then it has to be MPS.

  • LOL . The Searchers continually tour the UK and Europe and beyond continually. I dont see many headlining tours with Mike Penders Searchers but I`m sure he scratches out a living somewhere.

  • Couldn't agree with you more. He thought when he left that the band would fold...NOT!

  • check out your local pub for his dates ! Also check out theatres & concert halls for The Searchers.

  • Well leona, I see you are classed as USA based, so tell me how often and when do you see both groups?

  • I am a Searchers fan. I believe they are/were better than the Beatles. I first went saw them at the Iron Door in 1962. I drink in the Cross keys pub(if you know the significance). I still go to watch both versions of the group. I belive MPS are more in keeping with the original sound.

  • meilenweit von der qualität ihrer eigenen originalaufnahme entfernt, sorry!!

  • the other i saw the Drifters and the Searchers in the same concert, IT WAS AWSOME!!

  • england forever!!!!!

the pakis n the polish r the invaders the the ozys are all convicts!!!

  • not good very delayed

  • small outfit, great sound - we always strive to copy that, including the entertainment , still got quite a ways to go (Work in Progress, a band from Mexico City / check out youtube or google video for clips)

  • Still great and John playing a mean lead guitar, despite being a grandad. RIP Tony and Chris.

  • Great stuff Gary. Look out for my video from The Cutting Room recorded on July 9, 2004.

    Cheers from Canada!
