  • Hey you miserable disliker guy...I"M RUNNING YOU DOOOOWWWWWNNNNN!!!

  • One question; why they name it 33? o_o I mean.. I know Claudio can be pretty unpredictable, but that takes the cake. Anyone know?

  • @OurDarkGoldenHero The song is about Patrick Ewing, who was number 33.

  • Time to start looking for a new drummer

  • @richspencer709 No need to,my friend.

  • @richspencer709 no need

  • Jesus, Chris Pennie is a beast. They managed to get an even better drummer, here's to hoping they can get an equally impressive bass player to replace Mic.

  • @Hopeisxdevotion No one will ever be better than Josh my friend. Josh is the master of both the kit and master of the OMGWTFBBQ drumming style.

  • Kid at 1:52 is epic

  • 1 person is not bringing it hooooooooooooooooooooooooome!!!

  • @prid92 Good thing I have been saving absences since January and I'm maintaining an A in all my classes. I wish you could go though. It's got to suck missing this :(

  • @DrewAmongTheFence78 i'm so jealous! i'm from the uk, and i have to wait til November before they come on tour here! can't wait!

  • Seeing them tonight in Houston TX.. Face meltin' time

  • @DeezyDoesIt420 I was there, dude! This was one of the highlights for me.

  • April 27; SSTB Neverender in Toronto, motherfuckers :D

  • @CountEli ...jealous...goddamn college preventing me from getting to a show...hahaa

  • @prid92 I'm skipping my bio lecture and lab thursday for ATL then my english and history classes next monday night for Charlotte. SSTB tour ftw.

  • @DrewAmongTheFence78

See you at the ATL show :3

  • @DrewAmongTheFence78 Haha sick...unfortunately my circumstances prevent me from doing anything like that...have fun dude, im sure you will

  • Wow this remind's sme of like 5 year's ago lol.

  • i used to not be a huge fan of this song, but it has grown on me like crazy

  • Coheed is there own genre that's how godly they are

  • dedicated to the chilean miners

  • YES!

  • Coheed makes their own genre of music.

  • I love this band so fucking much.

  • AMAZING!!!! It gives me chills xD

  • claudio is the best. . .

  • lucky bastard getting that close to claudio while he is performing... imagine if claudio would have brushed that kids hair at 1:54 it would have been like tom hanks on the simpsons movie.

  • y does claudio's live vocals fall incredibly short of his studio vocals? like really noticably

  • its been like '01 or '02 since second stage turbine blade.. its def changed especially when he goes back and sings these older songs. like look up old videos of them live and his voice sounds on the spot with these songs

  • @michaelstevenwashere i see your point but it in the documentary it shows him at his desk or sumthin of that sort and he's singing everything evil pretty high and that documentary was shot around the same time they performed theses shows. idk maybe i'm just being nitpicky but it seems like he's not even trying on the vocals at times, look at the Junesong Provision performance and you'll see what i mean

  • @themizstinks21 I actually like his live vocals better. I wish he'd sung them like this on the albums.

  • lol the kid at 1:51...

    =p

  • Josh, to me, was and always will be the drummer of Coheed.

  • im with you on that one bro.

  • @zachkilgannon yes, i agree 100%

  • MattAttack1221

WHAT! Once upon a boring song...no way lol

  • Pennie is a very mechanical drummer, but he is insane. Crazy good.

  • Chris Pennie plays it like it's his job. He has no emotion, and it bothers me. Josh was flipping his shit the entire time he played every song because he had so much emotion. I respect that.

  • Well, technically, it is his job, just like it's all of their jobs, just like it was Josh's job, too. I have the utmost respect and admiration for the work Josh did on the first three albums and tours, but it's hard to argue against Chris' technical ability. And yes, Josh had crazy emotion, which was great, but just because Chris is slightly more physically reserved doesn't mean he's not into it. Just look at his face in some close-ups; he is 100% physically, emotionally, and mentally invested.

  • @withoutaface11 y'all are just gonna have to let it go with a youthful honesty

  • chris is a great drummer, but i miss josh ):

  • @punkrocknroll91

He's an "alright" drummer respectively, and it's from being a drummer myself it's not like i'm just talking s***. But there's just a little something the band is missing when they jam on

  • What exact tuning is this version on ???...any one??

  • low tune? it didnt suite with a standard tune. T_T

  • Possibly my new favorite coheed song.

  • haha we're having a drummer debate between chris and josh on this video. the drums on this song were written by Nate Kelley.

  • This song kind of reminds me of Rancid or Nofx. You know, it's almost got kind of that pop/ska punk feel to it. Sort of.

  • Fuck you, and your couch.

  • Chris is FAR from suck... O_o

    Though I do miss Josh.

Don't down an amazing musician because you preffer another.

  • Amen to that. Chris is a friggin' fantastic drummer, and he does the parts near flawlessly. However, we can't forget who wrote the majority of those parts in the first place.

  • and he doesnt need a big ass set to pull it off.

  • True, but there IS something slightly entertaining about seeing a drummer like Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, with an "Every freaking thing except the kitchen sink"-type set. My only thing is, I know Chris Pennie uses a double-kick. With something like that, I tend to prefer the sound of two seperate bass drums, as opposed to two pedals on the same drum.

  • its not the set its the drummer my drummer just got a tama but he did play on this shitty ass mixed kit but he still rocked its socks

  • Exactly. I do prefer Josh, though, simply because he has more emotion to his playing.

Don't anyone give me shit about saying that either. Chris is an amazing drummer, no doubt about it. But Josh was there when these songs were written. He was there to experience all the shit these songs are about. Besides, they grew up playing together. Their styles blend so perfectly because of that.

No one can replace Josh, but Chris does a damn good job at trying.

  • I dunno. Personally, I'm of the mindset that they're both pretty much equal. Equal but different. Ya know what I mean? It's not really a matter of who's truly better, as it is whose style you like more. Both drummers add their own unique stylings to the band and their music. It's not as some people (Admittedly, not you, but still...) want to belive that "Josh/Chris is SOOO much better than Chris/Josh.". They're both pretty much equal in my eyes.

  • Nate Kelly wrote pretty much the majority of SSTB, Josh didn't really contribute much to anything except In Keeping Secrets. Chris Pennie is better than Josh Eppard especially in attitude. People just want their little Josh back because he is da original!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hate.

  • @ChamesLiverpool

    Josh did Good Apollo, too.

  • Yes, however he didn't do much effort on that album.

  • Not sure what you're trying to say there, but if you're saying he didn't do well, then what the hell, man? Even in fairly boring songs like Once Upon, the drums were awesome.

  • Josh even said he had no real creative control over Good Apollo, Claudio practically did everything. He was basically filling it all in.

No word of a lie, it's in a Weird Science interview in a book named "I WILL BE SCENE" at the very end

  • yeah, most drummers just fill it all in. thats their job. him and claudio did write keeping the blade together though.

  • There are no boring songs.

Yeah uhm, the drums on that album are pretty damn cool, especially in willing well 2

  • Now that i think of it, other then some of the later songs, none really stick out like in sstb and iks, but eh w/e

  • I just realized that thats gonna sound like me coming off as i dont like those other albums, i was talking about the drumline...

  • great audio on this whole show, nicely done

  • i would kill to be that kid at 1:54 :[ luckyyy

  • really? cuz my life would have been crushed and i would have devoted my life to make bouncer´s lives miserable...that bastard pulled him down just when he was sooo close

  • very true...but given that coheed is from the new york area, the patrick ewing connection makes perfect sense...

  • why is this song called 33?

  • thats something i've always wondered also.

  • Patrick Ewing's number.

And this song is about the character Patrick.

  • Thanks.Thats interesting.Would have never guessed that.you must have gleaned that from an interview(the ewing part, not the patrick part)

  • i used to be just as curious, but i just visited the forums at cobalt n they knew the answer

  • You gotta be careful about those forums at cobalt though. Not calling you or them liars, but i got some erroneous information on there a few times about some ofg the story lines as they relate to the songs.Thats because there is alot of speculation about the amory wars on there.(people on cobalt could base a theory on the way one of claudios farts sounded ;)

  • Lulz

  • as long as you dont say it sounds emo

  • It doesnt sound bad by any means, but you have to be able to admit they have some very pop punk songs

  • Yeah but Coheed also has songs that sound metal, classic rock, prog rock, altrernative, blusey, ect. Thats why i enjoy them so much because they do not let themselves be defined by genre.

  • @TheReaL7thSon What's so impressive is that, despite branching all those genres, they still manage to hold true to their own sound really well. Regardless of the style, it always still sounds like Coheed.

  • @TheReaL7thSon There's a genre for that =D

  • @TheReaL7thSon genres should be blown off this planet :D

  • @TheReaL7thSon having a genre is too mainstream. hipster claudio does what he wants.

  • buy the box set. watching this on a 65 inch screen with surround sound will blow your mind a lot more than a youtube vid lol

  • @reidsum doing that already :D

  • im totally buying the box. coheed fans, man. i happen to believe were some of the most devoted fans out there.

  • we totally are

  • yupp

  • True shit.

  • im still gonna buy the boxset lol

  • big thumbs down dude

  • Soooooo sick.

  • Such an awesome underrated song.

  • This sounds so amazing live!!! I like this better than the original!!!
