  • This is a fucking awesome song that was so far ahead of the audience, just look at the state of them man, Geordies in 1984.

  • This is terrible, no class here. and as for the dildo belt on the blonde well, i rest my case.

  • Give them credit for moderity! They rocked!

  • spot on! Edens a doll - and that belt!

  • What do you mean? This song is one of their best! (the original 7" version not on the Zillionaire album best version of all). Martin called this their 'jet trash' image and what he is wearing here is far better than that gold suit he once had.

  • this was in my view a downturn for abc...after this they never were what they were..they cleaned up for (when smokey sings) but by then it was to late to go back to the grandeur ways before..this was fluff..that girl isnt even hitting the fkn'n drum in time...shamful...lexicon was a hell of an album to go on..they did an ok album after lexicon and then this fluff...abc is one of the reasons i became a bass player..i was 13 when this was out i bought it ofcourse but then and now its embarasing..

  • Dream Target - u are a TRUE STAR, I saw this as a 14yr.

I it has been buried deep in my subconcious - maybe it was Eden with the dildo belt! Love ABC so much, my dream clip!

    Thank you T

  • Here we hear where Trent Reznor was after, love it!!...

  • Always loved ABC, listened to this when i was Germany in 85, and going up to the U.K.

  • Great performance, thank you for uploading this.

  • The Tube was much better than Top of the Pops. Less lip synching and better hosts.

  • friday 5:30 pm to 7 pm

  • i watched this show all does years ago...

  • the tube was and still is the best pop show to be put on British TV

  • i love how the backing track was off at the beginning and mark clapped to fast

  • Great to see this online - I've got it tucked away on tape somewhere...these guys were such incredible visionarys - I wonder how Martin feels about it now?.

This mix of the tune was simply awesome in the day! But the UK audience, who were so drugged up on Duran and Wham at the time, had NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON!

Basically the beginning of the dance music revolution friends - that's all!

  • Superb performance. Remember this Tube performance vividly. An astonishing collection of vintage synths - and TWO, count 'em, Fairlights!

Undoubtedly ABC's best "phase"... Massively under-rated at the time but highly innovative.

  • check out the belt at 1 min 26 secs ! lol

  • ABC wil Always Be Classic! I just saw them in Los Angeles - (7/9/09) Martin Fry still looks and sounds great. I have been recommending Lexicon ( and more) to people since the day it came out. I still have the album! Thanks for the great post - it wasn't aired over here.

  • Love the track but the crowd don't get it....they are dying a death up there

  • pretty normal for the Tube, audiences were always a bunch of zombies. great track, great album classic!

  • ... indeed, not understandable, have they been shocked or what ?!?

  • Totally agree with mark, way ahead of it's time. LOVE ABC , esp here, Fairlights and Beatbox galore.

  • Fantastic song....waaaaaaaay ahead of their time which is why most of the british record buying morons didn't and still don't get them.

  • Yeah but being ahead of time also meant dressing like late 80s early 90s which isn't necessarily a good thing.

  • CLASSIC !

  • Thank you very much for that video !!!
