  • :)

  • Your hair is trying to give gravity the beat-down. :)

  • In some ways, I think you might be a more natural fit for Frankenstein's monster ;)

  • Could we hear more things about Iona life? Like meeting your friends, which has been fun. Orrr tell us a story a la John Green playing FIFA?

Glad to see you're having fun. :) Best wishes!

  • I have to ration my time with Civilization. I love that game so much that I'll forget to eat, sleep & poop.

  • @phampants TOTALLY

  • Oh man, as much as I would love to see Iona, I doubt there will be sunny weather before the end of October. It rains /so much/ in Scotland.

  • "Ghost stories in the commonroom"

    YOU GO TO HOGWARTS.

  • You should totally tell one of the scary stories for a video.

Also, you seem like a reasonable person.. so it's a shame you believe in an invisible man with a sword or a beard. (Not gonna stop watching the vlogs though.)

  • I like your duck. Will you share some of the scary stories?

  • Rubber Ducky!

  • Just wondering, what denomination was your church back in Australia? Also, are there any Mennonites (or any other anabaptist groups) in the UK? I guess it's logical to assume there is at least one, but is it common, Also, FIRST. I hope.

  • @katherinethe19th Rohan is from a New Life (penti church) which is why his involvement in Iona makes me think he is a really awsome dude.

Anabaptists tend to be more European (French/German/Dutch) origion, and are mostly found in the North American continent these days from what I know.

But England did have the Brethern who were also keen on emigrating to America.

Quakers are a bigger community in the Uk though... and I am sure there are some Mennonites out side of Canada too

  • @fuegohugh Ohh I see. I'm Mennonite, and from Canada. And I was wondering because I know that there was a lot of persecution of anabaptists in Europe, so they left, and I think that's why they're aren't' many there any more. Also, someday I want to move to the UK and I want there to be a church for me to go to there. ;)

  • @fuegohugh Woaaaah no. If it's the New Life church I think you're talking about, my church back home has no affiliation with them. It has the same name, but it belongs to the Uniting Church in Australia, which is a union of the Methodist, Congregationalist and Presbyterian churches in Australia.

  • @RoboFillet

Man did I have things pegged wrong- re your Aus Church. Uniting of course... brain fart.

Hope the weekend its a blast Rohan- I am at home... but am atcually staying with my Anglican church at a local retreat lodge (no where near as pretty as the Island) community living changes dinamics in soo many ways- mostly for the better>> I am sure the rules of silence were just so the monks could get some sleep lolz

  • @RoboFillet Thanks for clearing this up, I was quite confused. :)

  • @katherinethe19th There's a Mennonite group coming to speak this week! I don't think they are very common in the UK though. Most of them are in the US and Canada. There are some other Anabaptist groups in mainland Europe but I don't know much about them.

  • @RoboFillet Oh cool. Well, I'm a Mennonite from Canada, and I'm of kind of a UK fan girl of sorts, so I was just curious. :)

  • Ideas are over-rated.

  • I love the rain, but i always forget my coat, so i usually get to cold. This comment is only relevant to the intro.
