I didn't care for the movie, but I loved watching Christie and Pinsent as a couple in it.

Must agree. The online dvd stores like amazon have pure gold films like 1963 Billy Liar in which Julie Christie sprang onto the world view. Shows the grim Leeds + Bradford where I grew up. Other tenuous links see both her and Tom Courtnay (again) in Dr Zhivago, beautifully filmed by David Lean, who's swan song was Ryan's Daughter. Most beautiful film & haunting end theme.
Sorry to waffle, you're right she's still gorgeous. My point if there is one - that they don't make them like that now.

Good as Marion Coutillard was, I still can't believe Julie Christie didn't win! Should've known, since Gordon Pinset and Olympia Dukakis weren't even nominated as they should have been! And they wonder why viewership was down over 20%.
