  • Dr. I love your work my problem is I'm in illinois. How do you deal with your out of state patients or do you have in recommendations for illinois?

  • @Navylady4 I have patients fly in all the time. My office is near Dulles Airport (IAD)

  • how old do you hav to be in order to get breast implants

  • @angelprincesa4life With FDA approval, a woman must be 22. If you are over 18, you may consent to have the procedure done without the FDA approval. So really, if you are 18 and a reasonable candidate for the surgery.

  • really gd video

  • @shubham6159 Thank you.

  • @DrMJBrown i would like to know where does the implant is positioned, is it between the pectoralis mayor and minor, or is it below both? And, how deep should the pocket be, i mean, is there like a determined costal level obviously is determined by the size of the implants, but is there like a standard level for each size?. Sorry if there are some terminology discrepancies, its that im studying in the dominican republic lol. Thanks in advance, God bless you.

  • What if somebody wanted to have smaller breast? Is that possible to do through surgery or is there another way through exercising?

  • @QueenofDruqs Yes, it is called a breast reduction

  • do you ever do a transaxillary incision? My doctor wanted to use this.

  • @kmagdc yes, i have used it. If he uses a camera (endoscope) then it should be ok. If he does not, then typically the results are not as predictable. Be sure to see lots of his results, not just one or two.

  • Doctor would the nipples respond to touch after surgery?

  • @twistedchica01 Yes, they do.

  • how long would i have to wait to get the surgery after the first visit?

  • @mrzgarciaa Hi, I have people send me photos to confirm they are good candidates. Then they fly in and I do their surgery the next day. So it really depends on you and my calendar. I did 7 breast augmentations today. In short, I can set you up pretty easily. Have a great day.

  • I have mine booked in for 12 days time, im going from a 30A to 30D(im 5"6 & 98 pounds)

    At my consultation-the surgeon,recomended....

    going behind the muscle,

    using round implants,

    going medium-high profile

Gell implants(cant think of marketed name) as they are impossible to leak.... if you cut one open its like turkish delight, lol, it just stays there!

rough surface will reduce chances of encapsulation.

  • Good luck, but you have to realize, that it is possible for all implants to leak! Gel implants can leak too. You are correct in that, if they fail, the gel itself is not likely to migrate. As for the textured shell breast implant, I am not a fan of textured shell and it tends to make the breast less mobile and unnatural. Also, as skinny as you are you are likely to develop visible rippling going as large as you are talking about. I hope this helps.

  • @DrMJBrown

    thankyou...

youv given me something to think about regarding size- this was the surgeons suggestion-my aim had been a C cup- so on your advice i may change my mind and stick at a C.

They apparently dnt offer/use smooth ones theyr called Naturelle collection. I was going with the surgeon b/c my friend went with him,and b/c they(company) have done alot of documentaries. thankyou for your advice, its given me alot to think about x

  • Allergan's Natrelle implants do come in smooth shells, I use them. It will be a better implant for use because it will allow the breast implants to move naturally.

  • wonder if u can breastfeed after having implants... if not than i have to wait to have them done til i am finished making my family.

  • You can breastfeed after implants. You have to go behind the muscle so it wont interfere with breastfeeding.

  • yeah u can...

  • @alykat0209 Yes, of course you can. The breast tissue is really not disturbed with this type of breast augmentation

  • I heard if you work out a lot you should do over the muscle. It will look more natural. I lift weghts is this right

  • No, it is not correct. You will have longer lasting result below the muscle. Above the muscle will make the breast look 'bally' over time. Below the muscle and lifting weights may be somewhat problematic depending on your implant size, how large your muscles are, and how much you lift. In some situations, lifting weights that are isolating the pecs will cause the implants to move outward. Light weights for tone do not typically cause this.

  • Dr, how long can the implant last before it need to be replace again?

  • It depends, we do not know how long they will last. It is safe to say that they should last many years.

  • do the breast implants have to be replaced overtime?

  • @Blade3788, at some point in time, it is reasonable to consider having breast implants replaced if they are silicone. Saline filled implants only need to be replaced if they fail.

  • I had this procedure done!! I loved my results!! Woo Hoo!!

  • Very educationL

  • is it better to have them under or over the muscle ?

  • it depends. if you go under the muscle, you have to wear an elastic band over the implants for 4 weeks

  • @CaramellDansenFan08

Actually you do not have to wear any band over the top of the breasts. That is necessary when the implants have been placed too high.

  • my friend got hers over the muscle,so she had to wear the band. i guess it varries from person to person

  • @illigalterrorist under the muscle is best.

  • These breast implants are under the muscle!

  • GOOD VIDEO

    THANK

  • very good educational video!

  • 6:06 (Approximately)

And again this pocket is under her muscle.

  • Dr. Brown:

How much does it cost to do a procedure like this? I want to know the overall cost, from consultation to the actual procedure (surgery)?

  • submuscular, got it

  • Dr, was this under or over the muscule?

  • Very informative video!

So during a breast augmentation, its not simply placeing an implant under the fat and filling it, the muscle has to be moved as well?

You simply must post more videos.

  • You can place implants over the muscle or under it.

  • WhATS the difference?

    I forget...

  • Why did you have to cook the tissues?

  • The tissues are not 'cooked'. The blood vessels are sealed with heat. This controls bleeding and complications that might occur if the bleeding was allowed to continue... I hope this helps.

  • Forgive me Doctor, But when you want to seal in the juices in lets say a steak, you sear the outside at a high temperature to dry the surface rapidly to prevent the juices from resaturating the surface of the meat. Is this not essentially the same thing? Please redirect me if I am incorrect in my application of such an analogy to what is a complex precedure.

  • where is the rest of the video?

  • 挺吓人的啊。

  • kOOl.
