Oh contre Jason I don't vilify you or anyone who want to eat meat. What good would that do? I think that veganists can be faulted in wanted to spread the "good word" as it were to everyone, sometimes even if they don't want to hear it. Commenting on youtube isn't "natural" it is what we have been able to do with evolve to. why not evolve eat more of a plant base diet?
@LBurris597 I don't think meat eaters are defending their right to eat meat because we already have the right to eat meat. Lol. Too many meat eaters are trying to convince vegetarians that they can and will eat meat whether vegetarians like it or not and that there is sound scientific basis for consuming animal products.
@JasonTyberiusKirk preach it brother. why do we allways have to argue our basic meat eating right with crackpots.. who's got more to prove here? think bout it. its allways the veggies starting on the meat eaters so obviously they know deep inside they have more ground to make up.
@JasonTyberiusKirk You most know my brother! He is morbidly obese, and has all the diseases that go with it, and it won't change his diet of meat, little vegies, lots of starch. His attituded is "I have every right as an American to it WHAT I WANT! He is very conservative and "tea-bag" republican. He think that it is ok to be cruel to animals, that it is not a large deal, because, they are, after all to him, "just animals". You hit the nail on the head Jason. ;-)
@LBurris597 I don't think killing animals is wrong because I have excepted that many animals are killed in nature by other animals for food. Whether we consider it cruel or not, God, The Creator or evolution has made it necessary for certain animals to consume other animals for food. The human animal is no different. I do not believe that a vegan diet is healthy or natural. I am not a proponent of food fortification or vitamins to compensate for what a vegan diet lacks.
@LBurris597 Just for your information I am very fit and suffer no illness. I do not believe it's o.k. to be cruel to animals but we differ in what we consider actual cruelty. Like most proponents of veganism or vegetarianism you attempt to attach negative labels to the practice of consuming animal products and animal flesh in order to vilify people like myself and get your way. Shame can be a useful tool to manipulate and control peoples behavior but with people like myself only reasoning works
I had a completely vegan lunch today - Whole Foods has an AMAZING salad bar & vegan cupcakes that kick serious butt. I haven't completely eliminated animal products from my diet but I'm heading in that direction. And I love how flesh-eaters get their panties up in a wad defending their right to eat flesh. Hello??? Feeling a bit defensive are we?
@ChilenoPiscean22 There is no science that says that going vegan is either healthy or natural. In fact historically man has always been a mixed eater consuming meat, fish, eggs and milk. You gotta take pills and shit just to make that stupid diet work without dying of anemia.
WHAT?! hahaha ok buddy obvivously you have no idea what science on biology says.
First off science has already proven that our earilest ancestors were vegan, you merely need to know how life started to know this is true. Life as we know it exsists because of phoyosynthierzers, plants, algae and some bacteria. Why you ask? Because they not only provide oxygen for most creatures to breathe but also create thier own food source with glucose.
@ChilenoPiscean22 I don't know what science books you're reading but they are filled with lies. If you look at any cave wall drawing you'll see paintings of people hunting animals for fur and food. The pseudo-science you speak of linking meat consumption to cancer is a half truth. The meat we eat is processed with chemicals, poorly raised and cooked and that is what's causing the cancer. Hell, people have died from spinach contaminated with e-coli bacteria. Fortification= fake ass vitamins.
Listen i live in Canada, there is no doubt you live in America. You guys are feed so much propaganda it is really quite sad to see. Canada is rated much higher in science then America. You acknowledge that meat kills you and lowers your quailty of life, yet you still eat it, intersting.
There is NOTHING you can get from meat that you cant get from fruit, vegtables, nuts and legumes x10. I explained to you why we were vegans, you cant deny science because of "cave drawings"..
@ChilenoPiscean22 Too many Canadians have this pretentious attitude that they are more enlightened and aware then Americans. If you've read what I said carefully you would realize that I have not acknowledged that meat causes disease but rather how it is prepared, raised and laced with artificial chemicals. I have never stated it lowers your quality of life either. Fruit, vegetables, nuts & legumes lack B12, D, Omega 3 fatty acids and are low in Zinc and vegetable Iron is poorly absorbed.
You honestly need to realize its the other way around, Americans think they know so much about the world, yet they are out of touched with reality, hell half your population STILL believes in religion...believeing in fairy tales..enough said.
Flax seed is ONE example of omega 3's and GOOD fatty acids, b12 is fortified in many foods. You coudlnt be more wrong about zinc and iron, variety is the key.
@ChilenoPiscean22 Flaxseed becomes rancid quickly and suffers from oxidation unless it refrigerated and in the dark. I do not believe in religion at all or even the existence of God in the conventional manner. I've already mentioned that fortification is nothing more than corporations adding vitamins to nutritionally depleted foods. if it weren't for our current understanding of science one couldn't even safely be a vegan. You need nutrient dense foods in variety so it's not always hit or miss.
@JasonTyberiusKirk who cares about history, and all the hearsay nonsense about diet, science and blah blah - simple fact - if you eat animal products you are advocating and perpetuating un necessary abuse & murder on this planet. What is so special about your existence that it can truly justify the abuse and murder of innocent beings... nothing, except you can't feel the pain and are too worried about YOU - get over yourself and give a fk about others -pull your head out of your proverbial hole.
Secondly, Science has also linked cancers among many illness and dieases, including heart diease, to eating meat and diary, IF YOU HONESTLY HAVENT SEEN THAT SCIENCE YOU OBVIOUSLY DO NOT KEEP UP WITH SCIENCE AT ALL.
Next to claim we vegans need pills ot survive is pure ignorance. Especailly when most foods are fortified now adays, even milk. You truly are not edcuated enough to become a vegan, As albert einstein once said ..."Becomeing a vegan is a evoultion"
@ChilenoPiscean22 I don't want you to think I'm just talking out of my ass either. I was a vegan for two years (for ethical reasons) until my doctor told me I was suffering from symptoms of anemia. I took a load of vitamins which helped but I never felt strong, virile or fit until I stopped making excuses for the well meaning lies I was told by vegans and reintroduced animal products into my diet.
The only why you would get sick from a vegan diet is if your ignorant as to how your body works and what it needs to survive. Being a vegan is a evoultion, meaning it takes knowledgae and commited to succed. Much like working out.
If your ignorant and not commited working out can be very harmful to you, but if your the opposite, working out can be the best thing you can you do for yourself.
@ChilenoPiscean22 No, the only reason why one would get sick on a vegan diet because it is easy to become nutrient deficient if you have included a fortified or highly processed food into your diet on a daily basis. Being a vegan wouldn't be an evolution if it fell in line with the natural order of things. It should be an easy transition but often it is not. I know more about nutrition than you. I believe you are consumed with ideology and you do not know what you are talking about.
Your Idea of a vegan needing to survie on pills is your corporate doctors and scientists talking. I have been a vegan for nearly a year and the ONLY supplement i take is a soy protein powerder BECAUSE im a body builder and need a easy way to add protein to continue to build my muscles. since the change, Im Leaner, have more energy, get sick less and overall clarity brain activity.
You obviously read what you want and leave out what you dont. Ancestors were vegan, i provd it
@ChilenoPiscean22 Listen to yourself "the ONLY supplement I take is a soy protein powdered." That some processed shit kid. If it wasn't for scientific food fortification you'd drop dead. Not that I'd wish it on you but that is the reality. I do not want a scientific diet I want one that requires no knowledge of food balancing, is natural and leaves me feeling fit. I don't even see where vegetarians get off calling themselves vegetarian while drinking milk and eating eggs. Those aren't vegetable
Variety is the key to succes. That why you must of failed, because you probably based your diet on iceberg lettuce, which is mostly water with no nutrients, instad of eating romane or collards or swiss chards etc etc. Or eat white bread over whole wheat, its these little choices which determine weather your succesful or not.
Also funny that you stoped being a vegan cause of annemia? (which is easily fixed) for meat, that causes cancers and list of other illness.....
@ChilenoPiscean22 No I did not base my diet on iceberg lettuce. I ate and I eat Spinach, Kale, broccoli, green leaf lettuce among others. I ate and eat sprouted whole grain breads. It's funny how I have been eating meat longer than you've been alive and I don't have cancer. My diet was quite "scientific." All kinds of fortified processed bullshit. I felt great at first but optimum health came when I went back to fish and raw milk. Meat made me feel stronger and put on real muscle.
I find it amazing that you failed at being a proper vegan, so you think that OTHERS who are successful are lieing? or they are some how trying to gain some kind of profit?
Or you trying to claim if someone is vegan for a year or two they MUST be suffering, so therefore it doesnt work... There are people who have been vegan for all thier life 20, 30 40 + years, and they are perfectly healthy.
E coli ONLY exsits in the gut of animals, not in plants.
OHH i forgot to mention to you about your doctor and his "findings"
It happens in canada as well but not to the extend that it happens in America.
Doctors get paid from perscribing pharmaceuticals. It's a sad truth but many doctors are not doctors for the sake of helping others but for the profit that can be obtained. So therefore, doctors gain more from keeping patients sick, so they continue to come back for more pills
Take control of your own life, don't relay on others
@ChilenoPiscean22 Yes, I think that many so-called vegans are lying because they abhor the idea of abusing an animal so much that they will say anything to make people think that veganism is righteous, healthy and natural. Those are the same reasons why I wanted it to work myself but my problem has always been that I'm not into idealism or bullshit. Those vegans aren't vegan if they sneak milk, fish, eggs or meat. Btw I drink Raw grass-fed "unfortified" milk!
Again you ignore science for propaganda, Being a vegan is soaked in science not hear say.
Being vegan DOES NOT MEAN INSTANT HEALTH. It is a big jump in the right direction, but where you failed and so many do, is that you lack the knowledge of how your body works and what foods you need to run it.
Why do you eat hebviroes? Why do all carnivores eat herbivores??
The reason cause ALL energy comes from the sun , which is taken by photosynthierzers, then used by the rest.
@ChilenoPiscean22 Like I said I don't trust your science because most of it [not unlike the medical industry] is funded by corporations. The process of food fortification is nothing more than corporate America adding artificial vitamins to your food. Albert Einstein said, "becoming a vegan is an evolution" because the vegan diet is unnatural and difficult to stick with healthily without resorting to pills and highly processed artificial foods.
HAHAHA you american telling me about corporations? CORPORATE AMERICA IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD.

Einstein also said " It is clear to me now that humans were never meant to eat meat" Backed by science
@ChilenoPiscean22 I am not America and you aren't Canada! So yes I can say America is run by Corporations. It's not enough that meat is raised organically, it must also be free of hormones and antibiotics and fed a natural diet. Then it causes no cancer. Now name one society that ever ruled that was or is strictly vegan. People live to be 100 and more all while eating meat, milk, eggs and fish. Veganisim is a fraud and vegetarianism is possible only because they can consume eggs and milk.
@JasonTyberiusKirk who cares about the past, history, and hearsay nonsense about diet - banal arguments. if you eat animal products you are advocating the abuse and murder of other living beings who share this planet, you are perpetuating un-necessary violence. @AaronJMarch I don't need societies permission to eat meat. Many animals eat meat and the human animal happens to be one of them. @JasonTyberiusKiryou It is funny that you say killing them is fine but inhumane treatment is not ok - what more inhumane way to treat an animal than to kill it against it;s will! I know this planet it a very very strange place - a good person like you can define murder as 'humane'. See if you can explore the topic beyond heresay, common stereotypes and subtle slander. Thanks for trying and good luck with life!
@AaronJMarch What I find inhumane is the torture of animals. I believe there is a humane way to kill animals and that is quickly and with the least amount of suffering. My observations are not based on hearsay, stereotypes or slander (slander is spoken, Libel is written btw) but rather empirical evidence and modern science. I too was a vegetarian at one point until I learned that certain vitamins, minerals, amino acids, EPA, DHA and trace minerals are more bio-available from animals sources.
yes! it makes a HUGE diffrence! It was the best descision I've ever made in my life! Your hair will get better, your skin will get better, your moods will be more stabilized, you'll have more energy, you'll lose weight, and much more. Did you know only 2% of vegans are obese? yep.
anndd dairy and meat increases your risks for deadly dieseases so much, a vegan diet is probably the healthies diet you can have. Ive been a vegan for a few months now and i havent gotten sick once, and im usually always sick!
I f&cking hate it when celebrities actually make sense, especially this talented bastard, Cromwell, who's gotten me thinking it MAY be possible to try vegetarianism...in steps. Damn.
I just rewatched Babe the other day for the first time in years.. it's funny how as children, you don't really see the message, but now, it is quite understandable.
I thought about it when I was a child every once in awhile, and I was always interested in vegetarianism.

yes! it makes a HUGE diffrence!

Damn.

I love this man.
he's my hero.
I just rewatched Babe the other day for the first time in years.. it's funny how as children, you don't really see the message, but now, it is quite understandable.
I thought about it when I was a child every once in awhile, and I was always interested in vegetarianism.
go vegan :)
