i have a feeling that when mystery guitar man and jack got together, jack played this crazy time signature drum beat just so he could throw off mystery guitar man in proving that he can do stuff mystery man can't fathom. hence the constant drone in the back, which is one note, which is what mystery man added.

it was a cool video, and uber creative. very talented, you've proven that mr. jack. i hope if you guys do it again, you might dumb it down a little..

Seriously? MGM hate? They're both awesome. MGM is mostly an entertaining musician who specializes in video effects and using strange objects to make music. Some of his videos don't have music at all. Jack Conte is more of a straight-up musician. They're both awesome.

They have different styles. They are both great. For all you people saying MGM should not be on here... you are wrong. Jack Conte was not forced to have him here. Jack is not under the heel of some record label telling him he should do things. MGM is here on this video because JACK WANTED HIM. If you Love Jack so much then you should accept the choices he makes for his music. Jack see's MGM's musically artistic talent and he enjoyed it. Bashing MGM means bashing Jack Conte's taste in art. =/

The "3D" shots of Jack look good, but the "3D" shots of MGM look less like 3D and more like unnecessarily choppy camera work. It seems like the difference in the 2 camera angles were a lot more "slight" with MGM than they were with Jack on this one.

@danno1111 He didn't fake anything. They used different methods--Jack re-shot takes with one camera, while MGM did single takes filming with two cameras simultaneously. It's a very subtle effect in fake 3D (a bit too subtle to be noticed much in this case, IMO), but that's the way it's really supposed to be done--Jack's is decent, but because they're different takes it looks a bit choppy.

Neither effect worked great, but I didn't care much about the 3D anyhow, because the song is fantastic.
