my friend sugsted me to watch zis movie she told me that she had been through this kind of life even more. the movie only showed what life looks like in south africa. but the real suffer starts from kaneya boarder. according to her life was suck, but people used to sacrifies for each other. when my friend sees this movie she go crazy. because of her past life she is kind of pscho. she told me she lost lots of friends. for her the movei is made just for two peoples, the real thing is mor zan zis
ya'll missed who is the culprit here, it was ya tenkolegna (ermias i think was the name) he is the one who planted the idea he should go for her from the get-to knowing she has a bf, and then after then he urged his friend (her new bf) to kill him when her first bf was found. When you touch something that does not belong to you, you end up corrupting yourself and bring curse upon your life for whosoever sows he will surely reap also.
It is very heartbreaking movie. I gauss we will see more and more of this kind of depressing stories because, yet again so may Ethiopians come through very dangerous rote to get to west . Several girls get raped and money corpse will be left behind (those who cant make it). I hope people in Ethiopia will watch this kind of movie and will think again and learn from it!!!!!!!!!
This abesha film was annoying first of they walked all the way to South Africa expecting heaven on Earth then would cry and cry. The lady character was so annoying why was she so weak to depend on a strange man for money couldn't wait for her lover then when the stranger died in car accident she commits suicide that's bullshit she acts like she has no country or family as if that man she met in south Africa was her whole life. What a weak woman.
well, i agree with u in some extent, But i think her intention to commit suicide is, thinking that she can't change her life anymore since she is paralyzed. In addition to that to not be like "shekim " for the others. She may take other steps, if she could recover and heal well, even if her husband, the one from SA, is died. This is how i c as a reason for her end.
i really like the movie in a sense that it really represent the typical ethiopian life outside of their country.they are confused ,lonley and subject to incorrect decisions.i think ethiopians make sad movies b/c what we see daily is a kind of depressing.
I think movies are supposed to represent the cultures they are made in. I mean look at the strugles Habesha are going through all over the world. I think it's good to make movie and books about their lives. This is not gonna be be always but it's good for a record.

Sad but interesting story......i liked the characters, they acted well but a bit pathetic.....but could this be based really on true story?
I hope a time will come when we all are going to be united under one identity-that is Habesha. One Love!
