@AdamColombus In all fairness soaps are pretty intriguing and socially relevant. Such as the One life to live AIDS quilt storyline back in the early 90's, Erica Kane having the first legal abortion on TV (even before Maude), and even Guiding Lights uterine cancer storyline back in the 60's. Also, some of the greatest actors in today's time came from soaps such as Meg Ryan, Josh Duhamel, and Alec Baldwin.

I remember watching this as a kid. I had always thought Marion was psychic because she always knew when someone was at the door before the doorbell rang. It wasn't until years later when I started watching Dark Shadows reruns on the SciFi channel that I realized they were making fun of the way soap operas were produced. I don't think they ever did re-takes.
