@bailey181989 its free style reining. the rider get to dress themselves and their horse in any costume they want. she decided to make her horse look like a zebra
Really? do you people have any idea why she was bouncing? She was changing leads with every LITTLE bounce! I would have to bet that 90% of you that have made a negative comment have NO idea what the @#$%$ you are talking about. The run was not completely flawless but I would have to bet she could ride better than most of you commenting on this video. Its funny how your snide comments only shows how stupid you really are!
@OliverFTW99 I know a lot about horses and about riding, not only in english, but also western. I know that you dont have a straight line from thier ear, shoulder, hip, heel in western, but you do in english. And I ALSO know that she shouldnt be bouncing on the horses back like then EVEN when you are changing leads. The point is to fallow the horses movement, not to avoid it.
@OliverFTW99 I was thinking maybe that's how she was telling the horse to change leads, But either way she still shouldnt, it causes the horse to tense it's back and not move the way it should, and it also looks awful. I'm not here to fight about it, but many people dont know, so maybe next dont be so rude.
Not only is the costume fantastic, but the reining pattern is amazing- the 3 tempi changes are great! And thank you, THANK YOU for NOT putting your horse's (er, zebra's..) head between her knees!!!!!
I love how people on here think that they need to criteque everything.
To the person talking about the straight line from shoulder to hip to heel you are retarded; when your stopping a reiner or doing a rundown you need to sit back, get your legs out in front of you and put pressure in in your sturrips. That's one of the things you have to do get your horse to stop.
Please before you go around telling other people how to ride make sure you are educated in the discipline you are corecting.
@RidinRopinCowgirl Um.. to all you western riders out there....I don't rein but i do know that she could have a ton better position.... plus thats the lazy way to stop. You stop with your butt in the saddle telling them to stop by becoming heavy in the saddle. The you squeeze the reins and sit back with your calf muscle squeezing them into the stride you want. In this case the halt. You have to give them warning starting with your seat then your calves and then quickly the reins. Get educated
@Ruffy2626 First of all, this girl is just a kid, I thought she did great. @RidinRopinCowgirl is right, you sit back, keep your legs in front of you, say "whoah" and extend the syllables, that IS the warning. The cue for the horse to slide is a slight pressure on the rein and COMPLETE RELEASE with the leg-- bringing them forward, to give you support and the horse the cue. If you don't ride reiners, please don't tell others how to do so. Thanks.
@romalaurifer if you were to lean back while someone was piggy backing you up a hill.. they would fall over. This could be DANGEROUS and UNCOMFORTABLE to the horse. Please put saftey over YOUR second place ribbons.
@romalaurifer THANK YOU. I find it highly amusing how people assume they know what their talking about when the question if they've actually ridden and shown reiners remains a 'no'.
@Ruffy2626 You just said you don't rein. You've never been on a reiner or stopped a horse. When you and qualify for the affiliate finals, you let me know. Obviously YOU are the one to be educated.
@RidinRopinCowgirl okay fine. so when your horse gets a broken leg, dont go cryin about it. I i do believe we have never talkied about your experience with reiners. [:o
@Ruffy2626 Born into the family business of showing, training, breeding and selling of reiners, worked as an assitant trainer under both reining and currently reined cowhorse trainers. Have shown and ridden reiners for the past 10 years. Never had a reiner with a broken leg or seen one with a broken leg caused by stopping a horse via equitation of the rider. And don't expect to. The way us reiners stop our horses has been successful and will continue to be.
@RidinRopinCowgirl hahahah im just kidding. i dont ride! i just like to annoy people who think they no everything. like you. i got that crap offa other coments! so try not to correct people and just ignore them! :)
@macaronistar Ok, I think it's more or less her seat and position. She seems kind of unstable in the saddle, constantly adjusting and repositioning. Also, the line of her ear, hip, and heel doesn't line up as is generally considered correct. She's not really hauling on the horses face or hanging on for support or anything like that, though. At most, her seat is making it harder for the horse to balance and get the job done.
@HorseObsession23 I totally agree. The horse did really well for such a poor rider. I don't think I have seen one that poor at that level before. All the horse she is a lucky woman.
I think the rider sits there more than she's doing anything.... :/ repositioning herself, ect. She's bouncing a lot on a few of that sideways loping thing while pulling on her horse's mouth.
BEAUTIFUL horse though!!!!! even with the stripes ;) I would love to see her horse without paint & without a tied tail. Awesome long, flowing mane too! :)
i would rather ride this horse english, i always love western horses to hold their heads LOW! not like this. and they have to be able no neck rein.... but thats just me. good job though
not a big fan of the equitation in this vid, if i rode with my legs to far forward at the lope my reiner would be so lost as to what im asking of her. Its a cool vid tho you were really creative
yo.. thats just sad lol XDD wtf is up with the painting... well.. no im sry its not SAD thhat irrespctfull. but it is funny.. makes reining loose some of its class.....
i love this video!!! that horse is amazing!!! the only thing is that i don't understand why the rider like slams down on the horses back during the lead changes, shes a good rider though and i love the costume!!! :)
yeah the horse does have a short stride!!! i think she was also exaggerating for the whole performance, music and stuff!!! i watched a another video of her and she didn't do it there!!! i love her horse though!!! :)
I got to see this horse in the warm up pen right before this. We didn't have tickets to actually get to sit and watch the freestyles though, thank you for posting this!
