Part VII: Pretty good entry ruined by massive cuts imposed by the censors.

Part VIII: Crap. Jason seems to teleport to catch his victims...horribly staged death scenes...and it's on a boat.

Part IX: Jason is hardly in it. Seems to be the most hated and/or dismissed of all the Fridays.

Part X: Crap again. Stupid space/future premise and another slow boring Jason.

RESULTS: Kane Hodder has been in 3 of the worst Friday the 13th movies and isn't scary at all. Period.

I don't think you understand fully. People know that Kane was not in the best Fridays. But it's how he plays Jason. Ok it's not scary but Kane gives Jason his presence. At the end of the day, it wasn't Kane doing the FX and providing the scripts.

You should check out the panel and interviews from the Comic Con in San Diego last weekend. These guys love the series and I think they are going to do a great job. I saw the preview and it is dark and creepy and everything happens fast. Jared said that Derek (Jason) brings a whole new level of scare to the character. I really can't wait after seeing the preview that was shown at the Comic Con. Wow, Jason was wicked!

The guy's like 54 years old... Derek is going to be great! He is 6'5 and BIG, Jared (primary good guy - unless he dies) is 6'4 and muscular. They are well matched. I think it is going to be great (for a slasher movie).
