idleruler, my dear-- For one thing, he's talking amiably to students here. I don't think he's out to broadcast his brilliance at this point; he's offering advice to young musicians. For another thing, he's a creative, charismatic conductor, and he's turned the Minnesota Orchestra into a truly world-class group with a rich, muscular sound. Cruise YouTube much sniping at conductors, do you...? Sounds like a heck of a hobby.
