  • for your troubles fenderman21, H.I.I.T. can be considered any type of training, cardio and weights combined.. its the time intervals that make this training unique and so effective... high intensity intervals also take place during D-1 and professional team sport practice's too, they just manipulate the interval times to match that of their sport... its not just cardio.. if designed right it is a highly effective lean mass builder

  • nice circuit. I would say that the snatches are pointless tho - all momentum and not much muscle strain

  • why do people do powerlifting (right word?). I am a 'hardgainer' when it comes to bodybuiling, would powercleans etc be good for me?

  • any lift can be good for bodybuilding. it's all about the sets and reps. powercleaning is one of the best lifts you can ever do because it is a full body lift.

  • Really creative circut!-Ive been doing lots of high intensity as of late, starting to feel healthier and get more ripped...loosing some of my old mass though! Any advice?

  • High Intensity training is great because you can get in and out of the gym faster and is always in the form a full body work out, that keeps your heart rate up and your blood pumping for great gains. Just make sure that you are giving your all. You cant be like aww im tired with 3 reps to go , push it and youll notice seriouse gains in weeks, and critique target muscles if need be

  • yo, this is tight, i wanna switch my workouts to this type of stuff instead of just having cardio and then lifting weights-is this HIT stuff more of a muscle building routine, or a fat burning one?

  • Im 6'2 with a slender athletic build, with my original routine of lifting weights i weighed about 180, now i just do highintensity tranning and i wiegh 190 and gaining,

  • stupid response. HIIT is cardio, cardio alone does not lend itself to building muscle mass. It is more a tool for conditioning. If you did gain weight on it, then it will have been down to an excellent diet, which perhaps you should have pointed out in your post.

  • Soo all those guys in 300 where pretty small guys hey? They where all on a form of HIT tranning, how about you read " The New High Intensity Training" by Ellington Darden, PH.D. Great book, And yes i take Eating very seriously so should anyone who wants to gain muscle

  • Nice circuit. The 'Conans' look fun. The only thing that that's a really bad idea is the skipping rope barefoot on concrete! Really bad idea. High impact for the joints.. best avoided.
