Just windin in out. holy fuck, this mixed of the back of loose caboose back in the day used to tear peoples heads off. Still tears mine off to this day.
Uberzone June 19th at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale. Starts at 7pm! Many other artists also featured including N Type, Hydraulix, Supernaut, Shade, Mas Inc, Merlyn, Juan Basshead, Danny Bled, Wreck, Somejerk, Dubranged, MCJumanji, The Nome....
By the way, that is how NOT to drive. I could have been killed, and / or, more importantly, I could have killed someone else by driving like that. I was a stupid kid. Don't act like I did that morning. DON'T EVER DO THAT. I was just lucky. My survival had nothing to do with my driving skills as I perceived them at the time. The laws of chance state that it should have ended badly. Don't become a statistic!
Uberzone helped me bounce my way through High School. I remember when my step dad helped me replace the fuel pump in my '75 Nova with a V8, headers, 4-barrel carb while I was still a dumb kid in about '95. My head would roll if I was late for school again, so I had a great time catching air as I ran a stop sign, catching air to the peak of this track over an intersection at 100 mph, landing, and making it on time just about a minute after the repair was complete...best time of my life!
You would need to see them for yourself. There are tons of visualizations and tons of combinations and in my opinion they are way better than iTunes.. especially since there are so many of them.
This due was awesome. His newer stuff isn't good at all. He went the way of the tech breaks/electro house sound. Pity, seeing as how his older stuff is soooooo far above his recent tunes.
Uberzone is one guy: for anyone that thinks it's a band. Aside from that, to call this track legendary is an understatement.
To those who think this track wasn't ahead of it's time: it was released before breakbeat was even a genre. It's still hard to find a more solid, engaging breakbeat track than this.....
Like it or not, it's important. :) It was so good that Sasha and Digweed worked it into a trance mix set, even though it didn't fit.
The splitting point in the electronic tree of life.
i saw this dude live in new orleans.....alot of people dont know he's playing this shit live....loading sequences, playing a drum with one stick, hitting keyboards with his other hand.....moving nonstop for like 45 minutes....dudes sick....i stayed sober just so i could watch him....they dont make many like this dude.........the sounds from this song come mostly from a roland jp-8000.....saw it with my own eyes....
@maxwellhowell Not true, the sounds mostly came from an 808 and a 303 with a loop thrown under it. If you saw him using a JP800, he was prob using it as a controller for a sampler.
@dracul876 You right, my bad, was prolly thinking about "Synthetik". Nonetheless, Q was one of the baddest cats out there, at one time next to Tipper, IMO. What happened, Q?
its okay man! u are right about synthetik though.. but do u thing the synth is 303? its acid none the less.. but is it 303? i think think, or maybe, its the sh101, or the nord lead even?! what say johnny?
I'm fairly sure Q was a Roland fan, and 303s just had that 'sound' at the time, i.e. there weren't many 'clones' to compete in '96. Sh101 can come close but the tweaking was easier with a 303. And they were still easy to come across at the time as well. But even the gear head Q was, I wouldn't think he'd have a Nord Lead and then buy a JP8000. Not mention Q, buy anything not Roland? Lol.
~Q~ uses circuit bent gear dude... your 303 won't write this song... and the base in the middle of the song was not a 909... on top of the fact that he uses a 330 VP for his vocoding... check the local prices on Ebay just for that piece of gear alone. You can sequence that on your comp today... but then you needed racks... add it up...
yeah you spin for people from the boondoks anyway so you deserve this attention- you are a legend in your own mind---more power to your so called life as a dj wanna be===he he spin? a ok? wanker/twat!
by the way.... NU school is Digital... Uberzone created and tweaked his own ANALOG synths to make his sounds... he didn't just go down to the local market and buy crap instruments. Maybe if you had $20,000 you could actually buy the required equiptment to reproduce this song. Just letting you know
you dont have money to buy new records?= please grow musically-are you stuck to this? you are completely lost/old-i dont wanna know wat u know = u dont have a brain === are u a man?--uberzone? huh!its 2009 give me somethingworth cueing up for the next mix fool!
