The reason you have rrod is because of the intercooler. Yes, this does sound strange but an intercooler is a waste of money because it blows hot air that is generated from the xbox back INTO the 360, which causes overheating, which leads to the RROD. Take the intercooler off, and your xbox should last over a year at least.

Occasionally, the disc drive might flip out and not work, but I reset the laser and bang on it a few times and it'll work. I play on a arcade system with a 250gb hard drive (not that it matters, but I install my games to the hard drive.)

All the air that does come out will be cool air between the intercooler and the back of the xbox which has to only be a few mm. Intercoolers are known to produce the rrod. The best cooling solution you can buy is water cooling but its complicated to install as you have to take the xbox apart and install it directly onto the chips.

You were standing your xbox 360 the wrong way it was covering a big vent. it was also on a carpet where the xbox conducted heat causing it to overheat I would recommend if you fliped it horizontally and buy a desk or stack old video game boxes under it. Hope I helped.

jasper chip set is safe all you have to do is provide your 360 with good care and ventilation then you wont get the rrod in this video the person just put it on carpet and stood it up not good ventilation
@MarcosG57 the core consoles are more likely to get the RROD because of the system drivers however it really depends when you bought the xbox 360. Microsoft is trying to solve the problem of the RROD by giving out coolers which fit to the back of your 360 to help prevent the problem. Forums around the NET have been talking about new jasper elite consoles that hopefully will have built in fans which will prevent the problem altogether.

Well get a cooler for ur xbox and make sure it gets alot of air and not in a closed space. I got RROD in 2007 and got another one back about 1 month later and have had it ever since...Still works good...
hmm I have the exact same model got it july 08 and I leave it in the vertical position, and its even on my carpet. Never had a problem with it. Still running strong. doesn't feel right when its laid horizontal.

he's f**king right. I played mine about an hour a day and I was like since it's an elite surely they made sure it was protected. WRONG mine was NEVER played vertical and never played on the carpet. guess what right when i was raping in MW2 and movin up.... I turned it on thinkin it would neva happen 2 me and it is the worst feeling. Mind u i got the Falcon better than the first but not the Jasper??? idk manufactered in fall 2008 babied it and it died but its already on its way back from TX

jasper chip set is safe all you have to do is provide your 360 with good care and ventilation then you wont get the rrod in this video the person just put it on carpet and stood it up not good ventilation

@MarcosG57 the core consoles are more likely to get the RROD because of the system drivers however it really depends when you bought the xbox 360. Microsoft is trying to solve the problem of the RROD by giving out coolers which fit to the back of your 360 to help prevent the problem. Forums around the NET have been talking about new jasper elite consoles that hopefully will have built in fans which will prevent the problem altogether.

They aren't ever refurbished, they just either give you a new xbox or push the gpu back in place and give you back the same ticking time bomb.
They should be sued for all of the money they have for selling a faulty system that they KNOW breaks.

Well get a cooler for ur xbox and make sure it gets alot of air and not in a closed space. I got RROD in 2007 and got another one back about 1 month later and have had it ever since...Still works good...

hmm I have the exact same model got it july 08 and I leave it in the vertical position, and its even on my carpet. Never had a problem with it. Still running strong. doesn't feel right when its laid horizontal.
