  • Playboy owner have hot dumb bitches, les paul had a hot bass player.

  • @zscszs321 The value of Les Paul is that he is not well known? This man was known all over the world for his music and his inventive mind. I had the pleasure of meeting Les at a concert he gave at Kean University in South Orange NJ. He lived in Mahwah NJ for 50+ years, and many of his and Mary Ford's hits were recorded at his home. He played for about 21/2 hours give or take, and about 45 minutes after the show, he cane out and signed autographs for the 200 or so people who were waiting.

  • He literally makes the guitar sing

  • cuando sea viejo quiero ser asi

  • es un genio...

  • Can someone take off the mute button?

  • So when he used the Les Paul was it just called awesome guitar?

  • he added the 'electric' in that gibson

  • His guitars are AMAZING!!!! R.I.P

  • Rip you have such contributions to music

  • I saw Les and Mary in their prime. For those of you you who have not heard some of his early work- take the time! He was so far ahead of his time. His speed with the pick was beyond words. To me was the the best.

  • I wish Les Paul and Chet Atkins would have been born 15 years later. They could have given the Beatles a run for their money

  • and to think...........he's also Steve Millers godfather. How fitting !

  • He is 90 years old...but he still have the "touch"!!!...why?

Because he live with it... Salute.

  • Brian Setzer plays it 100% times better.

  • @636117 Give him a fuckin break. He was 90 here. Lets see Brian Setzer play this shit at 90. I'll bet anything he wont play it like this by then.

  • @636117 I just did that comparison but i'm sorry but your wrong even i was surprised

  • @keefo54 I just uploaded the correct Setzer version (there are several performances through the years). Should be a video response here.

  • Pure brilliance! Please checkout rockabillygone all one word for original rockabilly and covers

  • Not bad at all for this 90 year old, I've been enjoying Les Paul, and Mary Ford since 1951.

  • what a rad dude! RIP you've most defiantly earned it!

  • I randomly clicked on this post while I was watching a lot of the great shredders (Satriani, Yngwie and so on) and was instantly MOVED! As impressive and stimulating as the best shredding is...man, I can just feel this so much and it's truly enjoyable! Guess that's the difference between great playing and great expression on a guitar.

  • @rlaneew Well said, very well said

  • Not the greatest version of the song...but hey it's Les Paul! Awesome!

  • He may look old, but his playing could not be heard more full of youth.

  • still the master

  • Beautiful playing!

  • Great guitarist! Also invented the multi-track tape recorder

  • If it was not for Les Paul Rock & Roll would be totally different because Les Invented the Solid Body Electric Guitar. That would have left us back in the stone age.....RIP Les

  • @breakabilly Ten percent of the population are dysfunctional twits.

  • 1:13 epic orgasm

  • All he has to do to prove to people he isn't senile is pick up a guitar and play.

  • One of the true foundations of modern Guitar, an innovator of modern recording techniques and an inspiration to anyone who ever picked up any instrument.

  • im 15 an i love it!

  • @MrChelu2

    Use proper grammer.

  • @1m2a3t4t5 "Grammar"

  • Dudes, this guy is the Compay Segundo of rock. He invented electric guitar, had a marvellous guitar touch, always respectful ... how can there be 8 dislikes ? Let just see what Bieber will do at 90 ...

  • r.i.p. my dog les paul, dat nigga in heaven forsure

  • He gave us so much most people dont even know it.You know he was friends with Steve Millers dad.

  • @TheUnclehowie i didnt know that, but thats mad interesting

  • oh sweet jesus this song made me cry, not only did I liked it but I added it to my favorites

  • I admire Les Paul greatly for the contributions he made to the music world. He just played and played and he played, and then started making guitars. I hate the idea that there's some teenager who buys a les paul and starts playing heavy metal (I did, but not with a Les Paul, I've realized where I went wrong), and he has no idea what hes doing wrong. Half of the guitar players in the world that play Les Paul don't know that this is where it came from. DAMMIT YOUTUBE! I NEED MORE SPACE TO TYPE!

  • MUITO BOM!! AMEI!!!! VERY GOOD!!!!

  • 7 fetuses have voted.

  • 7 people are dumb.

  • @zscszs321- it already has happened, Justin Beiber is getting millions of views daily!

  • Les Paul and Lou Pallo....great guitar together

  • I feel honored to have been the 1,000th like to this. Damn.

  • a true legend. RIP

  • He's 90!! And Flippin Awesome!! Did I mention he's 90!

  • @lindjustin was 94...

  • Looks like arthritis in those hands and yet he still plays better than anyone else on the planet.

  • @baywizard better than anyone else on the planet? thats a retarded statment

  • @baywizard when it comes to les paul, its ridiculous to say that who is better.Because hes Les Paul.

  • man i remember this from the labamba soundtrack...lookin for it since the freakin ninties, never knew the name of it,now that i found it "sleepwalk"makes alot of sense..it does kinda sound like some kinda euphoric dream..anyways les paul, now i see what all the fuss is about.

  • R.I.P Les Paul

    awesome song

  • an icon of muisc..

  • he was Bing Crosby,s right hand man in the late 30,s 40,s

  • if you watch him play this song, he definitely looks like he knows something that we dont about it :)

  • Ritchie!!!

  • A true great..,but his notes still ring out!

  • Every time I hear him play, I want to pile up all my axes in the backyard, burn a bonfire, and just cry.

  • electric guitar good call

  • Great .. clean n sweet melodies.

  • ah my father Peppy castro knew Les what an amazing soul!

  • Amazing, so inspiring

  • This brings a tear to my eye RIP Les.

  • Forget the 6 dislikes WHO CAN DISLIKE THIS. This gives me chills.

  • He and Chet Atkins are the best guitarists ever, they put modern guitarists to shame, REALLY.

  • Classic.

  • He was a Genius. But he has only 160 thousand views and now every shitty song artists make these gets millions of views and that's sad. Kids , these days, don't listen to music they listen to crappy songs and lyrics and people are starting to forget about the real music genius. Don't let that happen.

  • @zscszs321 i think we had a hallelujah moment there.. Les paul broaded the road for me once in the day, crafting black beauty was a major step, and that vauge guitar realy bursted the sound between soft and evul, nothing litterally could beat a les paul Black beauty, even a bad player can learn to play like a guru on those.. that soft sound of a good crafted Gibson with a toutch of insainity, is the right spice to success..

  • @zscszs321

    i am 15

    n i luv dis n i shared dis

    so

all kidz r not the same

  • @zscszs321 Thankfully, we have the 189,171 people who are old enough to know true talent.

  • @zscszs321 i disagree i know sometimes it seems like kids these days dont know about the classics and the masters of real music, but i am a young person and this is the kind of music i listen to all the time, its the kind i was raised on and grew up listening to, and most all of my friends are the same way. i know at times it seems there is no hope for classic music like this, but ill let you know that i am a leader in a driving force to make sure this art is not forgotten.

  • @taylor209 i support you

    i'm planning the same

    classics must not be forgotten

i too am planning on making this influence remain forever

  • @zscszs321 i'm only 14 and i'm so mad at the crappy music the people produce today, it's just frustrating (even more for me cause i'm becoming a blues guitarist)

i'll make music live again if i can

i'll do everything that i can to make this kind of music remembered (that's my goal)

  • @zscszs321 He was a musical genius and inventor. You can even say he was a modern Leonardo. Even with this shitty youtube compression his soul and feel for the music transcends and surpasses modern day musicians and composers. The value of Les Paul lies in the fact that he is not well known. Cause if he was his value would be diminished by the mass media. Lets enjoy this treasure and let the rest of the world enjoy their music, and thus achieve peace. I think Les would've like that.

  • @zscszs321 its music ur just sad that the music u listen to isnt as popular get over it i feel ur pain katy perry, lady gaga get millions of views for every shitty song they release well thats the new generation

  • Good thing about getting old is that the tremolo bar gets easier to use.

  • Wow, I didnt even know Les Paul was a guitar player, I feel so noob :S

Sounds imortal though, I love it :)

  • what can i say?? good cruising music. nah, you might fall asleep.

  • Pure Genius!!

  • I clicked on a video on the right, did it and did it again, you can see why I'm here, is the best version

  • Comment removed

  • He lives on in all great guitar music.

  • Only God has tabs for this.

  • If I can do anything that well at 90 I will begin and end each day on my knees thanking God, Foot, Allah, Odin & whoever else I will be able to remember....

  • I LOVE THIS MAN! its feels like i knew him though a love for guitars and great music

  • RIP

  • I would like to see Les Paul playing a Fender. Just curiosity.

  • If we people who make these comments and listen to this rendition of "Sleepwalk" over and over pass his genius on to our children, buy CDs etc, then Les Paul will truly never pass on to oblivion; rather, he will live forever through his music and his innovations. It's up to us, so please, pass it on. He rates a spot along Chopin, Wagner, Beethoven and all true greats. One hell of a man!

  • OMG his poor old hands must have been in severe pain,, He was a true Master and Love Him !

  • the grand old man of the modern electric guitar...we ALL owe him so much......may you rest in peace my dear friend.....and everything you ever told me turn out too be true...all of it...i will never forget you....

  • 5 DISLIKES!!!,,, five people don't have no soul,,,

  • If this doesn't make you smile you have no soul.

  • @BigBoss1819 It made me smile, laugh, and cry all at the same time......what a wonder this video is.

  • 90 year old arthritis fingers STILL SHREDDING. Amazing

  • Who was cutting onions in here?

  • @Dascalmer No onions, just tears of joy.

  • I think I broke the replay button! :O, this song warms my heart, like a fireplace on a cold winters night <3

  • wielka strata!! bez LP nie ma gitary !!

  • That is how this tune should be played, with true emotion and soul.

  • I'm impressed.

  • True to form, look at that dude's hands, he is a real Man. One who has been there done that! Thank You , Les Paul!

  • The great One! And Creater !

  • Ele era o mestre

  • DAMMM! there is alot of feeling in that song

  • JUST PERFECT SOUNDS,,

  • waw!

  • I think the smile he gives at 2:16 is great and really shows what one guys love can do for a whole reel of generations!

  • this hands did Miracles to any guitar player

  • o shit. this is a ritchie valens song lol

  • @ryanhashton It is a cover of sleepwalk by Santo & Johnny. Not Ritchie Valens!

  • @ryanhashton No...this song was a hit for Santo & Johnny in 1958. It was featured in the Valens biopic "La Bamba".

  • is it just me or does this sound like "oh donna" by ritchie valens?

  • wow..

  • I keep returning to this site to watch and listen to this beautiful rendition of Sleepwalk, a piece I have been trying to play all of my life without real success. Les Paul makes it look so easy, and the tasteful pictures of my city at night evoke the feeling that it was written for someone like myself, who walked those very streets in solitude and peace. Many years ago...Again, may Les rest in peace.

  • bbking and les paul enough said, those 2 have nothing but their life wrapped up in there playing all the rest stand behind them

  • he does have a signature model. It's called an Electric guitar.
