Do you think that this would work for a ringneck dove? I know where to find harnesses for pigeons--but nothing on the market seems to fit doves. I tried an AvianFashions suit once and it was too tight in the chest and too loose between the legs.
@blyaxamuxin Yeah, let the bird go free and starve, freeze or get eaten by cats. If you want the bird to be outside with you, you need a harness for the bird's safety. I just got a harness for my green cheek.
@SumikoMikazuki this is way late. but i am getting a green cheek and i want to order me a harness, can you tell me what size you brought. thanks a million xD <3
hey everybody- came over this video on a website selling the harness. if i buy the correct size, is it suitable for a Senegal parrot? also, if it is, why is ths harness three times more expensive than say, a feather tether brand harness? sorry for all the questions, im a soon to be first time owner... how early cn you start to use a harness? how long can you take a bir out for? do you need to buy them a jacket or something for the cold british weather? thanks for any help guys...
@poicephalussenegalus it is suitable for a Senegal, no idea why its expensive, use the harness when the bird trusts you and can do a couple tricks, no need for a jacket. if you want u can just let him fly inside, same thing lol
In the wild, cockatoos like to forage on the ground for food, instead of flying around. So they enjoy running around a lot, its good exercise for them. You can do this by putting a harness on them just like this one, and taking them for a walk a few times a week. :)
People will think its weird, but that's just ignorance.... don't listen to it.
my harness is wired it is a teather feather and the part that the leash is attached runs down the belly so if my bird walks his neails get trapped can any one give some advice .
Quite smoothly done! A question: Would you put the harness the same way, clip on the back, if it were for flying? Thank you...
