I think he was right to grab the third ledge of the UCH with the right hand. The left hand will be futher up the second ledge so there won't be as much of a stretch.
As much as my head says either Nagano or Urushihara will be first across this, I'd like to see Kenji Takahashi do it first. His style and technique in crossing the Shin-Cliff Hanger in Sasuke 23 was amazing, and it's pretty obvious even to me that brute strength alone won't be enough for the UCH if good technique is lacking.
THAT CLIFF HANGER IS ABSOULTLY RIDICULOUS!!!!!! The 3rd stage is really....Unbeatable,untill the next competiton.. But i hope Yuuji will pass it!!!! 2/3 of the new generation are 5 Foot 2 LOL Makoto's fail in the first stage could have been avoided...
I think the UCH is doable by someone super duper, but what makes it so hard is that its right after the floating boards, that is biggest forearm pump ever!! By the time they get to the UCH they've got no grip left! David in Santa Cruz built a UCH replica and I saw him do it but than again he was probably fresh and the only obsticle he did at that time.
1st obsacle upgrade of rolling dice doorknob upgrade of globe floating boards a fuse with curtains(3) unstable bridge (but without laying them) and a little bit of spider flib cuz u go to platform to platform while the wall stand up ultimate cliff (SO FCKING HARD)hanger upgrade of the shin cliffhanger jumping rings upgrade of jumping bars ascending rope is like tarzan thing last one is like jumping bars they upgrade it to hard to hard as fck to hard finally impossible they upgrade this so hard
For one, that doorknob grasp looks incredibly awkward in how you have to grasp it. And also, I really think that I don't see anyone having any chance of beating the UCH. If someone actually beats that obstacle, there is no doubt that he is pretty much one of the best athletes to ever compete in Sasuke.
All of them could not get to the third ledge, because they couldn't figure out how to navigate the second ledge.
It looked like he could have gone a bit further to the end of the second ledge, and grabbed it with his left hand instead of his right, but the rest of the obstacle is a challenge.
man, no one even reached the third ledge of the UCH. Might as well call this the era of the Ultimate Cliff Hanger, cause I honestly don't think anyone's getting past it in the next few seasons. However, I'm not going to doubt the power of the Sasuke competitors; it only took 7 seasons to find a champion in the third era, and I thought the third stage then was plain impossible. I'm keeping my fingers crossed until then.
@venescas I've said this to someone else already I think once you can pass the UCH the rest of the stage is very do-able with good co ordination and good stamina.
the only thing that helps in stage 3 is no time limit'

I think Ninja Warrior is trying to tell everyone to go fuck themselves and just give up with the new UCH.

they made some changes on the UCH for sasuke 26. They decided to bring the 3rd ledge closer but the 4th ledge is a bit higher.

I think the Ultimate Cliff hanger will be beaten by either Nagano or Yuuji in the 28th or 29th tournament.
