FYI for all those who wonder!

Doyle plays left handed upside down but he is actually right handed, he says it just felt natural to him when he picked up the guitar.

Hendrix played left handed but his guitars were strung correctly.

@MrDoylefan Hendrix was also right handed but played lefty.(he could also play right handed) There are many photos with him signing autographs with his right hand. He played however the guitar was strung, made no difference . I saw him do so at a music shop in London in 1969.

 Doyle really is one of the closest sounding to Jimi i've ever heard.

You can tell Bramhall's interpretation is unchallengeable also because no guitarists here on YouTube (among the dozens who have attempted at it) have yet been able to cover the solos as richly and as beautifully as in this rendition.

Doyle plays Gilmour's parts with such finesse. Really glad Roger brought Doyle on this tour and helped give Doyle his first big global audience outside of Austin..now look at Doyle. 3 solo albums, Producing Clapton & Sheryl Crow, touring & playing with Clapton for over a decade, and several Arc Angels reunions. What an immense guitarist & artist.

duetting this accurately is very difficult to achieve as any decent guitarist will tell you. this was so perfect and i believe its what made andy fairweather low smile. im not getting into an argument about whos best, they have their own styles and are very professional, what you prefer to listen to does not make that player any better or worse that any other

They're both big faves of mine. Still fascinates me that even on the Thin Lizzy at Rockpalast video Snowy looks like he's popping down to the newsagents to get the morning paper and a pint of milk. Which just shows they are both very cool in their own different ways.

Just venturing a guess here, but Doyle probably uses more than 1 guitar because he uses many alternate tunings. He''s smooth & clever in all of them. DB is a great guitarist.

@hadrins123 I can tell you a little bit. The Strat he's playing was built for him by Charlie Wirz and has Van Zandt Vintage Plus pups in it (Doyle took a few windings off). The head is a a Yamaha digital modelling head, so he's playing through that into a Marshall 4x10 cab and also a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

For the solos he's using an Analogman Sunface and a Fulltone Deja Vibe.

@triunp Oh yes, Snowy White is CLASS. He's been around for decades and should receive the accolades given to Clapton but he's quite an anti-star. . I recall seeing him 1st in the late 1960s. His tone is his signature. An accurate master of true Blues feel.
