At 1:08 I decided this would be a bad deal for me. Spending a half a million to live half a foot away from someone else is a no-go. You can buy hundreds of acres and a good size 3-4 bedroom house for that.
@RCasto If you build it yourself, you can knock about $580,000 off that. Just go and get some books on it. I learned from my dad, and he learned from a Hobo that lived in his barn. It's not hard, just start at the beginning and go to the end.
Why didn't you plaster the walls and use slate tiles? In the UK we build homes to last, that's why we still have 100-600 year old buildings still standing. Drywall tape and jointing is inferior to plastering, and as for that shingle roof shit I aint even gonna even comment. You guys build great buildings I just question your roofs and wall systems.
@joemanausa Whoa! a year to build? What, you guys take summers off? In Japan, a house can be built in a single day. And dont talk shit either, there are some sturdy homes out there that can withstand earthquakes! Just sayin.
thats a very nice house! I love that dark red brick and big columns in the front..classy. love everything about it. hell i even like all the music haha!

Was that retaining wall necessary? I would have left that out. It doesn't look good in front ot the beautiful view.

Home Building should be opened to the world. That way we know which company is building our houses.

So apart of the foundation the rest of the house is made of wood? a few questions if i may.
are all the houses in the us built similarly?
is the wooden structure as strong as the concrete one? what is the weight limit for the first floor for example?
Is it cheaper to built compared to brick and concrete?
what is the average life expectancy and what is the maintenance a wooden house needs? i saw someone above said something about wood infestation.

How the fuck do you build a house? Do you got an education or did u just do it for fun?
habbomanish 2 years ago
@habbomanish you have to get education on codes and permits first
the government, at least here in canada requires an approved building plan before you can build.
