I like the defined pick attack sound, but yeah, you did take the concept a bit overboard. However, I play with 1.12 Dunlops because I cant stand flimsy picks and I don't have a problem with this. I don't have a Fender though, and Fenders are twangier by nature. But yeah, I pick with the very side of the tip of the pick. Gives me a perfect sound.
Use the larger end of the pick as the tip would be too thin. Opens the door for more creative approaches to chording and leads. Hard to explain.
Another tip is too lower your pickups slightly ie single coils - the neck. You will get a woodier tone thats less harsh ie if they are wound hotter. Alot of people love their fender texas specials when they do this - myself included.
In a strange new agey way, I look at the thinner picks as working with the strings and not against them.
I see what you mean I guess... Pick attack = that you can hear the sound of me picking?
I think I might had lost my other picks actually when I recorded this, but also it was at night so I didn't put the volume of the amp up to high, så the picking of the strings is also in the sound which makes it seem less powerfull.
But .38 is pretty thin? :) I got a .60 from Brain (the ones with grip on them) and I already think that very thin.. whats the bonus going thiner?
@ADollsHouse420 - Hey dude! I don't know what label it is, but the print is a golden bull :) best strap ever. Feels so comfortable!

Nice Approach Style, but I got a little distracted with your tad heavy pick attack partly due to the hard pick I assume your using.
Tone Tip:
Try a jim dunlop .38mm pick(White)..Very thin, but use the large side of pick - the corner.
You'll be amazed how easy it is to slip between chording and notes. Plus, it has a little grit on it which adds some nice effects to the tone.
GC sells them. Make sure you get the .38 not the .46...

Thanks for the tips!

That was good. Very SRV-ish. I guess you've been playing for a long time because I probably couldn't do most of that stuff.
