We had no choice but to fight for our state's rights.

Oh yes, isn't this what people called the good old days? It is so sad to see how they were treated and I am shocked and so proud of Elizabeth's actions. She was brave and courageous. Its a fact that Blacks are targeted for arrest more often, more likely to be convicted, and receive harsher sentences than white defendants for the same crimes. Most blacks are in prison for nonviolent offenses, while white financial crimes are ignored.

We had no choice but to fight for our state's rights.

Post segregation has generated hatred of blacks toward whites. The percentage of out of wedlock births in the black community is close to 70%.
Black families in the south were intact and they went to schools which were teachable; all that is gone.

I think there would have been more (lynchings) in retaliation. We were totally outnumbered and we still are today. White ppl still make up the majority in the U.S. During that time God was the only one we could look to and we still have to look to him today for protection.

Some may wonder "Was there one good white soul out there during that time?" Even though it's hard to believe there actually were some. There had to have been otherwise black folks would have never moved forward. These white ppl who helped blacks were threatened by other whites and were harassed and some were beaten, but they did their part as Americans. Equal protection under the law and equality for every American. God bless those ppl.

There is no racist gene. Ppl aren't born racist and they are not born with a sense of entitlement. These things must be taught. If you put a black baby and a white baby together they would play together and wouldn't be concerned about the other's race. The parents poison and condition their children into thinking other races are inferior and that their own race is supreme and superior.

They were agitated by these "outside agitators" that is why the police did nothing against the mob. They considered it vigilanty justice for racial reasons.
