  • Your videos atre awsome,i am a huge fan on Monopoly and this is nice ! Where did you get all those games ? Thump up btw !

  • It's Greek. When I was in mainland Greece, near the Albanian border, I was very relieved to see a Coca Cola umbrella outside a roadside - the Macedonian landscape was rather bleak, deserted and inhospitable. International brands can be strangely reassuring, even to someone rather cynical about global capitalism.

  • I played the german version of it. :3

Its pretty fun, especially when you get all kinds of stocks and need to keep watch how many stocks you have so you get more money from better running companies.

  • this is what I came up with. Its the limited edition 2001 greek stock exchange monopoly board. the weird calculator thing is just that, a calculator specifically made for greek currancy. I also saw they go for 70 dollars and up. Apperently pretty rare. Wouldn't let go of it if I were you! :)

  • It's all Greek to me.

  • not a mystery to me it's greek

  • LOL "unalover"

  • Oh! I actually can explain this to you Mike, its the stock exchange edition of Monopoly, but this one is indeed in Greek. ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙEΤΗΡΙΟ is Greek for "Stock" in English. Thats why they have company names and stuff instead of places. Hope this helps. Seen every single review you've done and still watching!

  • @KonanKakuzusAngel Actually it means Financial Trading venue, but Stock is not a wrong translation, but still, cause I'm Greek just saying Stock is not an apropriate definition of the Word ;) and it's ΧΡΗΜΑΤΗΣΤΗΡΙΟ.

  • @KonanKakuzusAngel thank you, i was fricken confused.

  • @KonanKakuzusAngel I was able to guess all of that...

    XD

  • I think it is the device the illuminati is using to take over the world and american corporations

  • its great becaus im wearing a swatch

  • I think this is in Greek and was intended to be sold in Europe

  • I used to have a board game that was played like monopoly, but you were in the solar system and you had to buy the satelites of a planet until you buy the whole planet and comets and other space things. It made monopoly less boring, and was educative, It was like my favorite board game ever! You must have that one!

Excuse my english, it's not my original language

  • Mike, its the Monopoly Stock Exchange version. That is the Greek version of it, but it was available world wide. ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΤΗΡΙΟ means stock exchange in English.

  • it was sold in greece in 2002 i found it on monopoly wiki lol

it includes the list of every variation of the board game ever made !

however it does not say what that device is

  • it teaches you how to understand the women mind

  • The language could be Esperanto, a failed attempt at a universal language. People in the comments seem to think the letters look Greek, and Greek did use the Latin alphabet which was the alphabet used in Esperanto.

Also someone thinks it looks like some International edition so the use of a universal language (failed or not) makes sense for the game.

I am going to be so proud of myself if I found the correct language. Please tell me if you figure it out!

  • @RemnantTheWolf Greek actually uses the Greek alphabet, which is seen here. The writing means "Chromatistorio"

  • @Imamonarchist well I didn't do a lot of research and a source said that sometimes Greeks used Latin for writing. Was not really going to look that much into it I was more guessing for fun, googling some info for the theory, and hoping I had it.

I'll admit I'm no expert but I don't need to be to have a little fun with this mystery.

Thanks for the correction though, may as well learn something while I'm at it.

  • @RemnantTheWolf English, German, French and other romantic languages are the Latin alphabet, as Latin was the language of the Roman Empire. The Greek alphabet is just that: Greek.

  • i googled xphmatiΣthpio and google translator said that it was Greek. so its Greek.

  • it is the meaning of life

  • I think it is an alien machine sent down from outerspace........no its the meaning of life.

  • Oh i get it its like people saying thats all greek to me so lol its in greek

  • @cod5x Ironically it is Greek!

  • WTF i dont kno

  • Well I recognize those as Greek letters... so maybe it's in Greek?

  • It looks a lot Like Monopoly Here and Now (International Edition).

It's in Millions, instead of hundreds, to reflect modern currency. There was some kind of vote or something. I don't remember all the details.

  • @1wolffan

PS: I think the language is Gaelic, but I'm not sure.

  • I failed to find any translation to "xphmatiΣthpio."

  • @vexter2009 Keep in mind that universal translators on the internet only provide 20 or so of the 100's of world languages and dialects, that exist.

  • @RascalCoyote Yeah, but usually you can find at least something if you search for it on Google, but the only thing I could find were some Greek-looking spreadsheets. There are lists of the different versions of Monopoly, but i do not know the English name of this one.

  • it is greeg or latten

  • Little do you know, this Monopoly game is an all powerful artifact that caused a war between the evil sea monkeys and an ancient alien race. The aliens put a "Made in Ireland" stamp on it and hid it in the house of the people you bought it from for safe keeping. Now that you posted this video on YouTube, all that you can do is run for your life and throw the board game into the fiery depths of Eyjafjallajökull.

  • Wow a lot of unintentional product plug-ins XD

  • @WarMasterX6 how do you know it's unintentional?

  • @RascalCoyote good point! Mike are you getting paid off? >.> XD

  • @WarMasterX6 Mike is not getting paid for this.

  • @RascalCoyote I was joking :P

  • MAYBE IT IS A FUTURE MONOLOPY!!!! Broughtfrom the future !!!!

  • IS SAYS MONOPLY HERE & NOW IN GREEK

  • It is Greek and ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΤΗΡΙΟ means Exchange Market. In the end the words are Free Parking. The currency is Drachma and we had it before euro.

  • : )

  • Of course a European country-based version is of better quality that the American version. I'm American, but I just can't help but lol at the fact that Europe treuly makes better quality stuff, even in their versions of board games, lol.....

  • it's a device.. it does stuff.

  • O_o how does BT get to be where mayfair is the game is a bit old as it has the old BT piper logo not the new one with the world on it

  • Half-Greek here... it says "Monopoly Stock Exchange", the device is a stock chart simulator and the rules of the game are similar to the original plus the randomness of the device. It has also been released in Italy and France with the same device, in the respective languages of course.

  • the unusual device is probaly a translater

  • looks like Greek.

  • 1:05 lol, i ate Burger King today

It think it's Greek to be honest.

  • Oh i know what it is.... it monopoly stock exchange edition... It is not a MYSTERY Monopoly... monopoly stock exchange edition was released in 2001 (although not in the US), So there you have it... It is a europe thing I think... Once see it being sold in woolworths back in the day that woolworths was still around.

  • Gaelic?

  • @PipsqueakAndTrashcan no, the script is similar but as TheRealmsofChimi said, sigma is not in the gaelic script

  • it's greek

  • It's in Greek. The Σ (Sigma) gave it away right off.

  • It's in Greek.

  • In Europe they released an amount of 'digital' games, such as the game of life where you use bankcards and a weird machine to roll the dice 'n stuff... if I'm not mistaken, this is a monopoly with variables in stock-exchange and the device was used to follow it

  • GREEK BITCH!!!!!!!!!

  • looks greek

  • That's definitely Greek.

  • No idea what it says, but I know it's in Russian.

  • @FlashCardProductions dude it's greek

  • @FlashCardProductions I think it's in Greek.

  • on the go it says "take 200M euro and the "dividends" (idk) that you deserve/belong to you when you go by"

sorry for the sloppy translation my English to Greek isn't that great....

  • It does have greek letters... but idk that's really cool
