Very Interesting. I did happen notice that it was in Greek right off the bat, mostly because I recognize the language, even thought i don't speak it or understand it outside of 4 or 5 words. I haven't been able to find this on eBay, but then again I haven't looked on eBay-Greece know have I? Guess I might as well.
I speak greek and this is kinda strange! THE ONLY TOY THAT MONOPOLY CREATED ONLY IN GREEK LANGUAGE! Mike can you do a LIVE TOY review of this monopoly? I can explain EVERY SINGLE WORD it says.
hello ofcourse it's written in greek and it's not in ancient greek that's stupid where did you get that from? and it's may be a mistake is not mystery at all
@ritis11 Exactly. I know a Greek guy (was one of my professors); modern Greek still uses the Greek alphabet. In fact the word "alphabet" comes from the first two Greek letters, alpha and beta.
im almost certain thats at least part greek look at the symbol that looks like a capital E mixed with a capital Z or a sideways M it looks almost exactly like a greek letter
Indeed it is in greek. It does mean "stock" as one person said. I don't know a lot of greek, I know how to say a few things in it and some of the alphabet.
It's Greek. When I was in mainland Greece, near the Albanian border, I was very relieved to see a Coca Cola umbrella outside a roadside - the Macedonian landscape was rather bleak, deserted and inhospitable. International brands can be strangely reassuring, even to someone rather cynical about global capitalism.

Its pretty fun, especially when you get all kinds of stocks and need to keep watch how many stocks you have so you get more money from better running companies.
this is what I came up with. Its the limited edition 2001 greek stock exchange monopoly board. the weird calculator thing is just that, a calculator specifically made for greek currancy. I also saw they go for 70 dollars and up. Apperently pretty rare. Wouldn't let go of it if I were you! :)
Oh! I actually can explain this to you Mike, its the stock exchange edition of Monopoly, but this one is indeed in Greek. ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙEΤΗΡΙΟ is Greek for "Stock" in English. Thats why they have company names and stuff instead of places. Hope this helps. Seen every single review you've done and still watching!
@KonanKakuzusAngel Actually it means Financial Trading venue, but Stock is not a wrong translation, but still, cause I'm Greek just saying Stock is not an apropriate definition of the Word ;) and it's ΧΡΗΜΑΤΗΣΤΗΡΙΟ.
I used to have a board game that was played like monopoly, but you were in the solar system and you had to buy the satelites of a planet until you buy the whole planet and comets and other space things. It made monopoly less boring, and was educative, It was like my favorite board game ever! You must have that one!

@RemnantTheWolf English, German, French and other romantic languages are the Latin alphabet, as Latin was the language of the Roman Empire. The Greek alphabet is just that: Greek.
@RascalCoyote Yeah, but usually you can find at least something if you search for it on Google, but the only thing I could find were some Greek-looking spreadsheets. There are lists of the different versions of Monopoly, but i do not know the English name of this one.
Little do you know, this Monopoly game is an all powerful artifact that caused a war between the evil sea monkeys and an ancient alien race. The aliens put a "Made in Ireland" stamp on it and hid it in the house of the people you bought it from for safe keeping. Now that you posted this video on YouTube, all that you can do is run for your life and throw the board game into the fiery depths of Eyjafjallajökull.
Of course a European country-based version is of better quality that the American version. I'm American, but I just can't help but lol at the fact that Europe treuly makes better quality stuff, even in their versions of board games, lol.....
