  • Thanks for the visit and comment. This guitar is actually a Strat "copy guitar"

that I bought at a silent charity auction. It plays good.

    Larry

  • Thanks for the video lesson! I was working on this song this weekend, and this will be very helpful. What kind of Strat are you playing there? Sounds good!

  • Nicely done! Good lesson. ;)

  • @Ezguitarpick

  • @Seazer009

Thanks for the visit and kind comments. This was always a favorite guitar pattern of mine.

    Larry

  • Nice job sir... Try backing off on that reverb a bit. Waaaay tooo much!! Playing is great though!!

  • Great lesson, Larry! I love this song and usually just play it strumming an acoustic, but this inspired me to try some finger pickin'. I'd love to get you and my grandfather together for a jam. He plays a mean steel guitar.

  • @HailCorduroy

This isn't an easy pattern, but it's worth the effort.

Thanks for the visit and comment !

    Larry

  • I've always wanted to learn this song the way Burton played it. I have thought this is one of the coolest country guitar picking songs ever and never thought i would learn it. This was the best quick lesson i have ever had. Almost got it completely licked. Much thanks, Larry.

  • @catestube

Thank you....my pleasure. The pattern works on a lot of songs.

    Larry

  • Love that little bend lick transitioning into the D chord in the solo part. Really tasteful. I think I'll use that lick.
