I agree with much of what Webster says. His blind spot is not seeing that gov't actions he wants (infrastructure, et. al.) is the problem. Things will be built by people as things are needed, not part of some stimulus plan. Everything else empowers the very beast he complains about. The "ring" cannot be used for good.
