@emmamuzoora ..cont..I imagine you live in the UK, if you look every carefully around the UK you will see that historical monuments are maintained-why you might ask. Its because history constitutes heritage, hence history forms culture. You might argue that its just a grass hut, and indeed it is but its one that is decades old and forms part of Uganda's history. If the UNESCO can see that, why cant you-I dare ask.

I remember refusing to go for day trips to it when i was in primary school! Don't nutter to me about historical monuments and whatever coz that sure ain't one!

Ugandans know who burnt the Kasubi tombs. The goverment has been trying to kill any revenue streams to the Kingdom. This being a UNESCO World Heritage site, a lot of revenue was coming in to the Buganda kingdom. The goverment owes the kingdom close to $20M dollars in rent of the kingdom properties. The goverment has been inciting small groups within the Baganda to break away publicly. I am not surprised that the Baganda are suspicious of Museveni. His recent remarks have given him away. Sorry !
