  • Reminds me of being there... I was there ahhhh

  • flight 117, all key personnel, followed by the 4th element (the one i'm never in), prepare to enter the dining facility. PROCEEDING SIR!!!

    ahh the memories haha

  • hahaha good ol memories right there!!! 331st wolfpack!

  • LOL Noobz!!!

  • Ahh the memories!

  • 326 bulldogs.

  • @benaji261 321st Predators

  • @benaji261 who was your instructor?

  • @Safetyis0ff SSgt Roberts

  • Hahaha omg listening to the snake pit was sooo funny at the 324th lol

  • Do any of you BMT'S remember me? My name is joe. I was the cash register at the "lackland troop store" on femoyer..its where you bmts went to get your basics when you were zero weekers. I was like the only hispanic cash register..it was a MINIMALL i worked at..with burger king in it and a baskin robbins and some other stuff. Anyways I was cool with alot of you airmen and would hook you guys up with alcohol LOL now does anyone remember me? This was probably like in 06/07. Contact me if you do!

  • Good Times!!

  • are those day zero newbs?

  • Funny stuff! I was the chowrunner from about day 4 (the original one was made dorm chief and picked me to replace him), until day 30 (when I went through it was 30 training days). Had a good time after I got the hang of it.

  • lol the MTI is holding the hat in front of his face, trying so hard not to laugh. LOL @0:13 it looks like he's smiling.

  • Freakin Master Sgt...lol, I'd have fun with him!

  • Chow runner here! :)

Believe me, Our job was hard, yet simple, once I look back.. hmm

anyway, I'm glad I was, it told me to hold bearing, and can't wait to become an MTI.

  • @AlexTiger519 Same here. I enjoyed being chow runner. I have a really good memory; that came in really, really handy.

  • I loved being the chowrunner. You had to repeat everything the TI's said. And the TI's loved to fuck with me on that.

  • haha i remember these days, they never messes wit the big black guys

  • THIS WAS THE FUNNIEST AND WORST TIME OF MY LIFE! LOL

  • Where are my water monitors?!

  • hahahaha this is old school (BDUs) but it still tickles me to see the snake pit.

  • why is he yelling at him?

  • @Jonshea that guy is a Master Sergeant. . .so he is the boss of the MTIs. More than likely a squadron superintendent. This trainee approaching him more than likely did not use his proper chain of command and CLEARLY did not catch him in an appropriate and respectful manner during office hours. I can't imagine what words the trainee had for him that he couldn't first address to his MTI.

  • @Ruthlyn Usually, Superintendents are SMSgts... I'm guessing this guy was a section supervisor, maybe.

  • @zsybrant our 324th trs superintendent and section sup were both MSgts. Maybe the Superintendent was close to putting on SMSgt?

  • @Ruthlyn Sounds plausible.

  • @Jonshea could be anything half the time they make up stuff because theyre bored lol

  • @USAConservative2012 I never got called out also...but at least I knew the study sheet by heart by the 2nd week..good times and poor chow runners...

  • @Crucifier61 chow runners go!!!!

  • idk y but I miss this so much.... it was so funny :)

  • @USAConservative2012 haha you never notice the camera men b/c you're too busy staring at your food avoiding the TI's and figuring out how you will be able to consume all the food on your plate in about 45 seconds!

  • @bryantson1 45 seconds? That's it?

  • Poor chow runners lol...

  • TI's are lucky I didn't kick the shit out of any of them when I was there. What's the purpose of being arbitrarily abusive again?

  • @undeadpresident u obvisouly didnt understand the purpose of ur training.

  • @CALMlikeAB0MB619 No, I do understand the purpose of the training. It is to turn you into unquestioning automotons.

  • @undeadpresident and without these "unquestioning automotons" you wouldnt have all the freedoms that you blindly take for granted. the ability to carry out an order without question is necessary for a military unit to function and to succeed in war. if we hesistate, even for a second, people die. and if we decide to not carry out our orders, either there is very good reason, or we were not trained well enough. and if it is the latter, the result could be catastrophical. grow the fuck up.

  • @CALMlikeAB0MB619 Carrying out orders without question is also a good way to start a war.

  • @CALMlikeAB0MB619 what freedoms are they protecting? All the US is doing in the middle east is stirring shit and wasting money that we can't really afford to be wasting.

  • @JBHutto

    You are gay.

  • I managed to not get called the entire time in basic until the last day before graduation haha.

  • roll gator roll 320th trs cant stop the rock

  • Flight 183!!!! Prepare to enter the dining facility from the East Side!!!! All key personnel fall out, fall in, followed the first element!!!!!! PROCEEDING SIR!!!!!!

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear Memories.....

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear Three trainees POST!!!

  • @richard0688 LOL!!!! Good times!!!

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear They all smelled like bleach... ahh memories lol

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear FLT 183? i was in FLT 183 320th TRS. This is Harrison. Who's this?

  • @PoopStainedUnderwear lol, were u a chow runner?

  • I'm so happy to say that I've never, ever been a victim of the Snake Pit.

I've seen it happen to others though.....

  • @Knightphall I was a victim, ironically, I was KP duty. An MTI noticed that my belt buckle was not arranged properly. I had a very bad habit of looping my belt the other way, to which he said it as how a girl wears a belt. He then gave me a spill about certain things regarding my progression. Fortunately, it was just me, him, and a junior MTI beside him.

"Now make these trays disappear," he told me at least.

  • WOO CHOW RUNNER REPRESENT!

  • I was a QAE for food service at Lackland from 2002-2007, minus 1 year in Afghanistan and frequented the BMT squadrons. And from 2002 to about 2004, the 324th was THE most brutal of the squadrons. That MSgt Hillman sitting at the snake pit could curdle the blood of even the most thick-skinned trainee with his screaming. Hate to say it, but I always tried to schedule myself Wednesday-Thursday inspections at the BMT dining halls so I could watch the TI's yelling at all the rainbows.

  • I'm going to join and scared for obvious reasons and when I get nervous or scared I laugh uncontrollably, everyone is telling me it will only take one time and I'll never do it again, but I'm petrified because this can not be controlled in any manner and the more angry people become and the more serious, the harder I laugh... This isn't going to be good... I'm cracking up just thinking about it.

  • @rumb1n you are going to get skull fucked! LMAO!!!

  • @rumb1n That is the worst possible thing that you could ever do.

  • @rumb1n hey man im the same way when people get mad or seriouse i smile uncontrollably because i am nervouse but i dont laugh. i used to be in the air force and went through it smiling when people yelled at me and it made it a lot worse for me. Now im older 22 now i can control it better. Just dont give those people a reason to yell at you be on top of what your doing and have excellence in all u do so you wont be that guy

  • ahh the snakepit, i had to stand infront of my section sup. and make a phone call, with my hand to my parents and tell them i didnt have a sence of ergency. a small part of me missedsbasic, but i wouldnt want to go through it as a trainee again!

321 TRS Lead, Follow, or Get out of the way!

  • @Archistheman hell yea! HUA predators!

  • My one and only snake pit encounter consisted of the same SMSgt calling me to the table and telling me never mind 8 times in a row. I'll never forge that.

  • omg XD the snake pit! haha i got called ther twice, dam near pissed myself.

  • I got called to the snake pit during chow one day...I got a question wrong and I had to give my TI a 341...He tears up the 341 and throws the pieces on the ground...he yells at me to pick up the pieces...I was sort of pissed that day so I picked up the pieces and sprinkled them over my salad in front of him...He looked at me like WTF is he doing? I never got called to the snake pit the rest of BMT.

  • So the guy that's standing there at 0:18 - 0:20, I'm assuming is a trainee?

If so, why is his hair so long? I thought their heads were shaved to a #1?

Or does hair usually grow that fast if that's from the last couple of weeks of BMT?

  • @jgq85 the trainee has jeans on, probably day 1-3 before they get uniforms and the buzz. zero weekers are hit pretty hard at the snakepit.

  • @jgq85 they get there haircut like around the 3rd or 4th day of zero week

  • just keep in mind those guys are there forever you are only passing through for 8 and a half weeks. But that does suck to get yelled at. just avert your eyes when you pass by lol thats the best advice, but dont make it too obvious then they WILL call you out. Know your shit and they will leave you alone. When they say study DO IT they will quiz you on rank and chain of command, it will be less painful if you know your stuff.

  • @militarychick100 Better yet, I think this would be a great tip. Have people in the flight when you're in the dorm ask random memory work questions. It sucks having a 341 pulled because of not knowing your memory work.

  • Ah I remember those days! 1990. 3708 BMTS! Bulldogs! :P

  • Chow hall is so much fun. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Screams and bangs and eating quick. Being called up to the snake pit is actually a very interesting experience. It sucks. It really does test or at least begin to build a military barring and disipline.

  • Oh, i remember the snake pit!!!! LOL

  • As a general rule, your speech must have purpose. It appears in this video the chowrunners kept reporting to the MSgt with regards to flights in Qeue, however, the MSgt was eating and not in charge of the board.

  • is there a certain rule as to who u can speak to and who u cant speak to. i know u cant just walk up and speak to higher ranks than u but wat about the others in different flights. are u allowed to conversate and talk to others while eating or on breaks and wat not. i heard your silent almost 90% of the time but im just wondering about this. i have alot of ?s im shipping out to basic november 23

  • @DWALK916 seargeants no, you cannot talk to them in basic unless its on a need be basis or your learning. other than that they have somethin in their blood where they freak out. however during chow you will not talk. if your talking your done eating...btw. dont table fuck...its where you get up in front of a table before their done. if you do they dont eat, you dont eat.

  • @wingsofmetal01 so u have to wait til everyone has finished eating to get up. wat if u have to use the bathroom or somethin

  • @DWALK916 If you get up, you table fuck the rest of the people at your table and they'll all have to get up too. You may also table fuck every other table that sat down before you, and they will all have to be done eating too. All because you weren't able to hold it. You simply eat, and enjoy trying not to get yelled at.

  • whoever is leaving for basic, just remember that if someone starts yelling at you, its not gonna last forever. the TI's will make you feel like little children at times but its all for a reason. goodluck

  • SNAKE PIT ! good luck with tht, future trainees.

  • Man... I remember these days... lol I was scare as hell... lol

  • Good Luck to you future Airmen

I'm currently a cadet but I'll be out there soon about 6 years as an officer

  • Man I am so not ready for this! I leave the 20th of April! Grr, any other ladies going then too?

  • lol funny i was a chow runner in basic training man did i hate that job! I did remeber doing KP in that chow hall

  • Yeaaa......fucking hate the snake pit. I was on my way out when one of them called me to their table. I guess I did such a great job, as he told me, he wants me to make sure everyone on my team does it as good as me, or he is going to cut my time when we grad from my family.

  • imagine that x 20 every meal and that x 200 when you're still in civillian clothes. oh boy talk about a grand total of 10 seconds to drink 3 glasses of water each meal for a couple of days.

  • @TheKrimsonKore haha i almost forgot about the water and you better flip your glasses to or your ass is getting chewed out

  • i am leaving next month on the 27th

  • @sixcorpse07 Oh shoot! and I leave April 13th! Hope to see you there and best of luck!!

  • I went through in may 09 and I NEVER got stopped at the snake pit :) lucky me

  • Wow.who pissed in his cherios

  • They are just playing games with him, building character nothing personal. I understand it.

  • whats the 'snake pit'?

  • It is the instructors' table in the dining facility.

  • that right there table, during chow there more TIs just sitting there calling people to their table "snake pit" and all you do is get yelled at, i never got called once HAHAHAHAHA.

    =GJH=

  • @syntheticopasetik haha o yea and this isnt even bad compared to what u see lol

  • i went threw in august of 2009 dont let the MTI's break you just do what they say and you'll get threw good luck trainee 320th TRS "Can 't Stop the Rock!"

  • @harlynn2009 dont let them break you.... haha marines we get broken down and built back up the right way.

  • Hum.."threw" come on now, you are an Airman. How about some proofreading.

  • @jmitterii2 Youll have the time of your life... haha just got out 6 weeks ago

  • LOL to my new Airmen in training...enjoy...went through this nonsense back in 07...Wolfpack 331st...neva again...

  • LOL, uh uhhh!

  • OMG! The Snake Pit....I made it all the way to the end of my 5th week till I got called to the Snake Pit...to me it was pretty random considering the reason but the blue ropes at the table didn't think so :(

  • LMAO those were the days. XD 321st snake pit was hilarious. they always cam over and sat by us and asked how the ood was knowing that most people were about to shit themselves because there was a MTI right in front of them haha good times

  • Yeah being a predator was the best!

We have the most unique and coolest squadron lol

Does Lt. Colonel McCobb still works there?

  • All I can do right now is LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ooh the memories. If thats now Sgt Perry than i am crazy. He was my MTI when i went to basic. A hell of an instructor!

  • Hazafan88 - McClure was indeed a scary motherfucker. Did you notice his crazy eye? That man loved his job a little too much.

  • @kormonn LOL McClure was my section supervisor when I went through BMT!

  • Oh yes, I do remember that eye! Lol.

  • i leave in april. Cant wait!!!!

  • what do yo;u ship off for bmt???

  • i ship right before my B-Day April 21st 2010. i'm going for avionic tech

  • nice man e ship out on the same day. im in for aerospace tech as well

  • have fun

  • @JrAirmen Awesome what day in April??? I leave on the 14th of April

  • Comment removed

  • @MsKeepinItReal April 20th!!!. Are u ready??? 7 days left for u, Good luck to u, See u there...

  • @JrAirmen I hope I'm ready! A lot of my airman friends said pt wont be a problem for me. I know the ranks, airman's creed, airmans song, chain of command, core values, etc. The only thing I'm worried about is the mental game that they play on you in basic. I know I'll make it through somehow though! Lol how about you?

  • @MsKeepinItReal

you only need to know the first few top people off that chain of command you just memorized. you get your squadron chain of command study sheet when you get there, which is what you need to know.

    source: i graduated april. 23rd 2010

  • @nemesis656 not really. I got asked back in 2008 people on the lower tier of the chain. I got it all right because I didn't want to have to write the right answer 100 times AND give a 341. lol

  • Iam leaving in March.. i hope i am ready for this.. damn...

  • 320th Snake Pit was the worst. Flt. 625. MSgt. McClure is one scary motherfucker! Sometimes he would call you up there just to see if you knew memory work. Woe to those who get the wrong answer.... Btw, I feel bad for anyone who is stuck with SSgt. Douglas. He was in 320th (probably still is) and he is the biggest douche the world has ever known.

  • @Hazafan88 I remember McClure, he was my section Supervisor

  • @ GeneralFod1- I remember I had tunnel duty one evening and I was cleaning all the offices. I came into his while he was on the phone. He looked at me and I looked at him, frozen out of fear or what he was gonna do. He yelled at me, loud as hell, with one eye on me and the other looking at something else, and told me to get the hell out! Good ole' times in basic. Lol. I had TONS of fun there!

  • @Hazafan88 I was on tunnel crew as well through basic. I would purposefully avoid his office because I was too scared to be around him

  • @GeneralFod1 ohhh man i remeber that man....he was the scaresiest thing i have ever seen. I remeber on day in basic traing i was doing my chow runner thing and he started yelling at me and this another traininee. The problem was neither of us knew who was he yelling at. He had both of his eye looking at booth of us.

  • @Hazafan88

bull shit that SSgt douglas was a douche that man was the shit. He was put on my flight for a bit, yeah he did some crazy shit but he was funny as hell. I came from the 320th flt 152. I had SSgt Pino...he was nothing comparied to SSgt. Pino.

  • Yeah, you just got out of basic? I mean recently, right? I had his corny ass back in July. He sucked ass then and probably more now. SSgt. Pino is cool. Douglas can suck a dick. Fuck him. That clown tried to get half our flight recycled. He has a soft spot for females, so maybe thats why he was easy on you. But he treated us like shit right up to when we boarded the buses for tech school. He can fall off a cliff...

  • leaving in jan. lol damn hope im ready for this hahaha

  • You will! They say the mental part is the hardest part... so if your already physically in shape, that's half the battle :)

  • hope all my moms screaming helps haha

  • Comment removed

  • WOW leaving in April, gives me some time to mentally work up to this craziness

  • I got graduated from basic two weeks ago, and this actually makes me miss basic. I never thought I'd say that. 326 TRS Flight 703

  • Its all a big joke to those who have not had an MTI get in your face. i still get chills down my spine seeing this. 331 TRS Flight 587 Jun-Aug 06

  • God, it has been over 24 years ago and two combat tours in Iraq since I stood in the snake pit, and still my bun hole tightens up when I see this!

  • This is called the Snake Pit... stay away from it. Or we'll find you.

  • this dont look though at all

  • Trust me,if there yelling at you, it won't be funny to you.Now if there yelling at someone else and making them do stupid stuff then you'll probably laugh.Just don't let the T.I see you do it

  • What was he yelling about anyway??

  • I actually know this guy, MSgt Hillman. He was my section chief before he retired last April. He was the nicest guy you would've ever met, where if you knew him...watching this would've blown your mind

  • it's something about ppl yellin tht make me laugh i def gotta get tht under control before i live...im joining the AF on Monday...nd the yellin shouldnt be tht bad it reminds me of Football Camp nd practice..jus do wat ur told nd shut the hell up. I cant wait for this!!! how long do u have to waiting after u enlist to leave for BMT?

  • ya i need 2 do that 2 i kno when i get yelled at im pry gonna laugh... but i signed up in like late may went 2 meps on june 2 and my ship date is dec 15th so it could take a while. also sum 1 who went 2 meps with me ships out like oct 15th so u never kno could b a while may not. good luck

  • good luck to u..u got only a few more months left..wish i had two more months left...i still gotta take my on wednesday so hopefully i dnt have to wait long...wats ur AFSC?

  • um security forces when u go 2 meps they will ask you when you want 2 go just say ASAP youll pry leave sooner or depending on ur job as well

  • Did you go to MEPS yet?

  • NOPE..my recruiter been talkin bout i had to lose 8lbs first cuz i'm 5'8" and have to way 175 i think but i weigh 183..but im goin with him to some AFB here in Indiana to get a body fat test done nd if im under 20% body fat then i wont have to lose the 8 lbs...so im still waiting hopefully if all goes well i'll be in through MEPS next week.

  • haha!! never got called up to the snakepit until grad morning! LoL!!

  • is anyone leaving oct 1st??

  • Who was from flight 573 or 574 in the 322nd TRS?

  • I'm from flight 573

  • The snakepit is bulllshit. The TIs have a tough job. They work hard and put in long hours. And overall, they do solid, quality work. But this is just pure bullshit. It's harassment. It is not what the Air Force is about. TIs that pull this kind of nonsense have no place being in charge of anything. Well, maybe outdoors latrine policing!

  • Harrassment is what boot is about. Obviously thats not what the Air Force is about, but boot is nothing like the real military. Every TI I ever encountered was like this, this is nothing special

  • i got called to the snakepit too many times to remember...still cant believe i made it out of there in 6 weeks with as much trouble i got in :)

  • do u have any tips so i can avoid that trouble? i leave oct 6

  • Memorize anything they tell you to memorize as quick as possible. Do exactly as they tell you to do. Don't be the slow one in your flight.

You're going to get yelled at regardless, so just enjoy Basic man. lol. Everyone gets yelled at. Everyone.

  • When you stand at attention, Do not move your head. keep your hands pinned to the seam of your trousers. (You will learn what I am talking about)

Do not be a leader of any details.

A Latrine is not a bathroom. (even tho it pretty much is)

Do not ask the TI any questions when you are trying to do something. Go to your wingman. Trust me on that. My bed got flipped over for asking him a question.

Say your reporting statement when a TI asks you a question. Move with sense of urgency (Move fast)

  • Show up in shape. They try to break you down mentally by breaking you down physically, so the better prepared you are physically, the easier it will be.

  • never made it to the snake pit, they never bothered me. but there were twin female ti's that could mess with you one would tell you to go to the other side, once you got to the other side the other sister would be standing there and say what took so long. this was in the 80s

  • Anyone leaving on sept. 29th?
