i reformated my pc it restarts and shuts down 10x faster than before ..

my prblem is the hard disk was still 80% occupied i lookd at the progrm files and found al the stuffs tht was there before i format my pc was still der ,so i've tried delting the files but still free spce was very small.. i dlete some and still the free space was very small ... my question is wer can i find those files that is eating up the space of hd the size is 60 the free 18 ,checkd d instlled prgrm found none

Dude, I`m just thinking to format my empty hard drive. Do i need to put a DVD rom with a Vista DVD on it on my emply hard drive??? and also when i finished putting the dvd rom with the vista dvd on it on the hard drive do I need to restart or reboot it and it will automatically download? or i just have to press something??

@NexGenWalkthrutoriaL Put in the format CD, turn off computer. Turn it on and at the boot screen try pressing F2, F4, Del, or F12. This is to bring up BIOS but every computer has a different input button to open it up. Once BIOS is opened looking around until you see something like "Boot Sequence". Open this and you should see options like:

Hard-drive

CD-Rom Drive

Floppy Disk Drive

etc.

You should have the option to turn them off or set priorities. Turn off everything except CD-Rom Drive or

@NexGenWalkthrutoriaL Put CD-Rom Drive on top of the list as the main priority. Now exit BIOS (usually the ESC button) and select "Save Changes And Exit". Your computer should now reboot except after booting a black screen will show and after a while it should read "Press any button to Boot from CD". Press enter or whichever key pleases you and a blue screen (This is if your doing XP) or just a screen should show up. This is the setup screen, from here on you should have no trouble. Good luck :)

But when i insert the cd, restart and boot from it it loads the windows thingies and a blue error screen appears stating that the procedure cannot be done and advices me to run a CHKDSK, virus checks and to check the condition of my HD in general. Yes if you format you reinstall
