  • I love in the town that Mark Fidrych grew up and lived in. he lived near one of my friends. the towns remembering him by a sign in the center of town that says "The town remembers the life of Mark Fidrych. You will be missed". he was a nice guy even though i never knew him. he will not be forgotten.

  • It's great that they have a sign for him in his hometown. A lot of people miss him.

  • they go in 3's.R.I.P

  • I know. It's very sad when just ONE person passes away, but it's terrible to see 2+ go at once...especially within 3 hours of each other, a week after Adenhart.

  • thanks for the video

  • Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it!

  • Im really sad to see him go even though Im a Mets fan

  • same here

  • Life goes on but the Phillies are really dragging it out.

  • Yeah, Phils games just aren't the same without Kalas

  • Its like the Devils losing Doc or the Sabres losing RJ or the Hawks losing Pat Foley

  • Or when the Braves lost their announcer Chip Carey

  • But you get over it.

  • Eventually, yeah, you do

But it's not easy to watch a game and not hear his voice

  • Thats very true. I'm still not used to listening Tom McCarthy on CSN Philadelphia

  • Great song choice. I lived in the same town where Mark Fidrych grew and tragiclly died. I never met him, though I knew many people who did. He was described as a very funny, outgoing, and caring man. His un-timely death definetly put a somber tone on the town, and he will be missed here.

  • Yeah, I was actually born and raised near where he lived, too. Like you said, there were many people who cared about him because he was such a great guy. Batters used to think he was mental when they saw him talking to the ball, but once he started pitching, you could tell he was a great player. It's sad that his career ended early because of injury. He was doing real well in the Majors.
