I saw Janis Ian last night in Basingstoke with friends. She made us laugh and cry with storytelling and songs. I have never seen an artiste connect with an audience so effortlessly. I waited afterwards to get a copy of her autobiography signed, and was absolutely priveleged to exchange a few words. Janis graciously gives a little time for everybody who would like it. Janis, you are truly extraodinary. Thank you so much.
"Watercolors" has been my favorite song since 1975...my guitr playing does her's no justice at all...and then when I saw her again in Feb. 2010, her playing is even more incredible! And her voice is ethereal...sublime...
What an inspirational song... makes me cry now... I need no charity... Wow... i've enjoyed this woman's music and art for 40 years now... lucky me....
from france i had the opportunity and the goodness to ear & to know ianis. she is one of the great pop music artist as c.king, N.sedaka, joan baez, joni mitchell, michelle shocked...every thing you do is beautiful .thank you for sherring .i love you. christian

janis you always set me free with this song. I listen to the "between the lines" album (i've got the Lp and the CD)since 1974. Thank you very much.
You are one of the best song writers and singer i've ever heard. Luiz braga.:
