And after viewing your site and seeing some of the Flavio extras, I'm finding it an even greater shame this didn't turn into a series. I would've loved to see where these adventures were going to go. Especially with an invention like "chainsaw shoes."

Then the series about him struggling to become a warrior and a leader. He travels do distant lands and to others planes of dimention. And probably meets his parents but as spirits. He gets some ancient artifacts. That will make his machines magic and "alive". So then there a serie where he comes to the start a comeback serie. And then the battles. He uses the citizens of a town planet to build superiour machines. He uses local authorities to command them. And he leads the army.
So the goat race uses black and red colours, white eyes. Robot ones brown and grey, green shiny eyes. Happy living planet have a greek influenfe on their style. So around the cartoon, first series are about him living knowing nothing, living as normal kid, but being a bit different from others. Then thre will be series about the cosmic truth, series where the watcher and the goat character becomes aware of the robot race and his parents. He probably will be involved in some ancient sect.

You need to make it wackier. It feels like I'm not missing anything. So when I don't do it, it seems to me I know already what the ending could be. It's too normal. I like the goat idea character. Make it something like this... in a magic world, there were two mighty races like those goat ones and other robot ones. They were fighting each other and the robot ones conquered the goat race. And as a child a kings son was expelled to a small happy planet where he was safe. And he not aware of his..

this is really great art and i would love to see this on tv. and may i ask what program you are using and is it as complicated as it seem cause i tried to do some like this with movie maker and paint just to see how complicated it could be. soo yeah please give me some advice

He also had his stupid friend Mr Frank, and the pissed off boss Bossman, so he basically had a Mr. Crab, Squidward, and Patrick. It was too similar and they passed on it. I don't think it was anything like Sponge Bob, and even if it was would it be so bad to be like their number one hit show? Of course I don't have my own network so what do I know? :-)
@milowerx Yeah, guess your right. That's true, but they never asked Stephen to make more shows besides Spongebob, and he's been there longer. Not to argue with you, but that's just the truth. WHAT? It didn't remind me of Spongebob at all! I bet they're to afraid to admit Flavio's better than all there current programming combined. If anything it reminded me of Ren and Stimpy, IDK why. There's always other networks. I would say Cartoon Network, but this doesn't fit CN's style very well.
Hey Mike, This is the first time I'm seeing this short in all the years I've started blogging on Frederator. This is absolutely wonderful Mike, I really like it! :) I think future episodes could feature adventures outside of the restaurant!

I'd love to do more episodes, but unless I can get funding to do it, I don't think it will ever happen as I just don't have the time. I have tons of stories written revolving around flavio's home life as well as at the restaurant, but I doubt Iwill get the time to animate them.

I had a lot of fun making it and I had a lot of other stories to tell, most of which I thought were better and showed more character than this one did. As Flavio starts switching on stuff, I saw his tail but at the next scene, I didn't see it but a big patch at the back but as when he show his invention in the fridge, I notice that his tail is back on.
Well it was meant to compliment the joke that he had just said about creating a new type of toilet paper and that he still had a lot of work to do on that one because he had rubbed his tail off and now had a bandage on his butt.

Thanks ColossalM! Hmm, tips to be an animator? Well it depends on what type you want to be but the most important is to learn the rules of animation and the properties of movement. The first is squash and stretch, the second is overlapping action and the third is anticipation. All of these are essential in learning how to animate realistically. The final thing is to draw well but you're on a good path for that already after checking out your channel. Nice work! I like the Twitter one the best.
One way to learn the principals of animation is to do a search for the Preston Blair animation book on Google. The first entry, ASIFA will show you the entire book.Learn the principals, as they will help you greatly in becoming an animator. Of course the best way to be an animator is to animate a lot!
Haha! Actually I tried to make it... it's not easy! I put a meatball on a stick and wrapped it with spaghetti but the spaghetti kept falling off. But I could totally see it being marketed of it were done right!
The only way I could see it staying in place is if you made it cold. kind of like when you have rice or something in a bowl that has been in the fridge and has taken the shape of the bowl. I dunno. xD;; Who wants to eat cold pasta anyway??

I saw this cartoon while I was at the hospital, it reminded me so much of the earlier times where cartoons weren't just random things put together.
It didn't take more than a few seconds that I got attached to the set of characters and their short backgrounds.
I wish it were a series!

Yeah that was my first choice actually but he would've been too expensive and most likely wouldn't have lowered himself to do a kid's cartoon.

What an extremely lovable cast of characters! Honestly, that's what I noticed most about this; you become attached to the protagonist IMMEDIATELY. O-or at least I did...
I wish this had been made into a full cartoon series... It's so cute and clever!

@BURniNG6t54 Wow! Thank you! I am humbled by your comments. For me Flavio is the best personal film I've done. I had a lot of fun making it and I had a lot of other stories to tell, most of which I thought were better and showed more character than this one did. I really thought it might go somewhere but unfortunately the Nick network didn't think so. I think at the end of the day it was too innocent for the network's tastes. Anyway thank you again for your kind comments!

That was really good! I think my favorite part was where Flavio freaked out and curled up in a fetal position. I also enjoy the way he announces his inventions.

As Flavio starts switching on stuff, I saw his tail but at the next scene, I didn't see it but a big patch at the back but as when he show his invention in the fridge, I notice that his tail is back on.

Well it was meant to compliment the joke that he had just said about creating a new type of toilet paper and that he still had a lot of work to do on that one because he had rubbed his tail off and now had a bandage on his butt.

Now that's a cartoon. I love the proportions chosen for the characters. :D Kinda old school, but at the same time modern for le kids.

Wow, awesome. I would love to watch this if it were a show. Just a question though. I'm in 7th grade and I want to be an animator when I grow up. Do you have any tips to start off? I use Anime Studio right now, I made a few things and posted them on my channel if you want to look at them.

Thanks ColossalM! Hmm, tips to be an animator? Well it depends on what type you want to be but the most important is to learn the rules of animation and the properties of movement. The first is squash and stretch, the second is overlapping action and the third is anticipation. All of these are essential in learning how to animate realistically. The final thing is to draw well but you're on a good path for that already after checking out your channel. Nice work! I like the Twitter one the best.

One way to learn the principals of animation is to do a search for the Preston Blair animation book on Google. The first entry, ASIFA will show you the entire book.Learn the principals, as they will help you greatly in becoming an animator. Of course the best way to be an animator is to animate a lot!

Haha! Actually I tried to make it... it's not easy! I put a meatball on a stick and wrapped it with spaghetti but the spaghetti kept falling off. But I could totally see it being marketed of it were done right!

The only way I could see it staying in place is if you made it cold. kind of like when you have rice or something in a bowl that has been in the fridge and has taken the shape of the bowl. I dunno. xD;; Who wants to eat cold pasta anyway??
